If you’re like me you’re wearing flip flops for every event and with all outfits as soon as the weather permits…and maybe a little too early too. Well ladies I just heard the most awful news, according to this article flip flops should only be worn around the pool for more reasons than just cankles.

Here’s what your flip flops are doing:

-They can cause toes to contract, making the muscles in the front of the leg work when they should be at rest.
This can lead to the formation of hammertoes, a foot deformity where the second, third or fourth toe is bent at the joint, resembling a hammer.

-Ankle sprains are another common condition associated with wearing flip-flops.

-These flip flops can also wreak havoc on your knees, hips and back.
