While visiting the Grand Canyon with her family, first lady Michelle Obama revealed lots of leg in a pair of short shorts.

Short shorts are what everyone in American is wearing and what you’ll see in all fashion magazines, but is it appropriate for the first lady?

Many arguments have been made for both sides. Some say that it’s more important to have a first lady who shows confidence with her own body and connect with women and others who say that an official moment like stepping off of Air Force One should be considered more formal.

The Arena X-Glide swimsuit has been causing some waves at the latest swim meets. In case you don’t know about this sporting bathing suit, it’s said to be the reason behind Phelps’ loss to Paul Biedermann in the 200-meter freestyle competition in Rome last week.

You won’t be seeing this design at any more meets because Phelps’ said it’s me or the swimsuit.

The X-Glide Swimsuit, which is a full body sport design with zipper in the back, has since been banned from swimming competitions because it gives the swimmers an unfair edge. The swimsuit helps the swimmer float so all they have to do is head towards the finish line.

Barneys display window killed… literally.

A blood-splattered window displayed mannequins being attacked was quickly removed after offending customers.

The creator director, Simon Doonan, removed the displays as soon as he returned from being away. Doonan claimed that they,

“encourage our display people to be creative. We give them a lot of latitude, but this clearly crossed the line,” he said. “It’s as if someone saw a bad Hitchcock movie.”

LONDON - Luxury goods may be one luxury that eBay can no longer afford.

On Monday a French court ordered the Californian online auctioneer to pay 39.9 million euros ($62.9 million) to the luxury goods company LVMH for allowing the sale of counterfeit goods on its online auction site.

“We are very satisfied with this ruling,” an LVMH spokeswoman told Forbes.com. EBay said it would appeal the decision.

LVMH closed up 0.8%, or 53 euro cents (83 cents), to 66.58 euros ($104.77) in Paris on Monday, while eBay ticked down 0.3%, to $27.53 in New York midday trading. Read more…

 NEW YORK - A New York woman filed suit against Limited Brands Inc. Monday alleging the parent company of Victoria’s Secret stole her idea for its Very Sexy 100-way strapless convertible bra.

Katerina Plew sued in U.S. District Court in lower Manhattan, saying Victoria’s Secret infringed her May 2004 patent and knew about the patent since at least April 2006. Read more…
