You’re suppose to act your age, but you don’t have to look your age!

Here are some tricks to looking younger than you actually are- giving you an excuse to acting immature.

1- File nails the right way
To keep age-weakened nails from breaking, file them in one direction using a soft emery board. Sawing back and forth weakens nails and causes them to split.

2- Avoid polish with preservatives
Use a polish base that’s labeled formaldehyde free; the preservative can dehydrate and weaken nails that have thinned with age.

3- Draw the line
To diminish the appearance of droopy lids, add definition with eyeliner. For slick-free application with staying power, use powder and a flat, angled brush rather than a pencil. For a natural look, draw a series of three dots on the outer, center, and inner areas of your upper lids as close to your lash line as possible. Then connect them.

4- Cover under-eye circles correctly
To look fresh and well-rested, you have to counteract the shadows cast by your eyes. So instead of just dabbing concealer on dark circles, pat on a yellow-based cover-up one shade lighter than your foundation as close to the lash line as possible. Blend right up to the eye socket and on the sides of your nose. –Bobbi Brown

5- Preserve moisture
Apply moisturizer before your base to keep foundation from looking cakey on age-dried skin. Avoid oil-free makeup with matte finishes.

6- Create fuller cheeks
Because of gradual collagen loss, women’s cheeks become more concave with age. To create the illusion of fullness, sweep blush on the apple of your cheek rather than contouring your cheeks, and don’t apply dark blush in cheek hollows. –Bobbi Brown

7- Erase veins
Get rid of spider veins with a simple “lunchtime” dermatologic procedure called sclerotherapy, during which a solution that causes the vein to collapse is injected via a very fine needle. After several monthly treatments, about 80% of vessels can be cleared.

It’s the finishing touches that perfect your look for the evening. This includes the shoes you wear, earrings you put on and the nail polish you choose.

When choosing your nail color, there’s more to consider than the color of your outfit, you also need to consider which color will be most flattering for your skin tone.

If you are a fair skinned beauty, try to stick with colors with blue undertones. For medium skin toned gals a color that has goldreflects and a warm undertone is best. If you’re a dark skinned lady go for a bold color!
