Fashion has become another character in the Gossip Girl drama. Here are some essential items to getting the clothes at home.
1- White tights
According to Blair Waldorf, you’re never too old for white tights!
2- Thigh highs
Note: Thigh-highs are about as forgiving as white tights, so if you’re under 5’9” and want to wear them, we suggest growing.
3- Poufy dress
It’s by far the best outfit to sulk in.
4- A super hot mom
A la Lily van der Woodsen, super-hot Serena’s super-hot mom.
5- A capelet
What’s a capelet!? If you need to ask, you might as well just give up now.
6- A gold mask
A Gossip Girl never knows when she might get a last-minute invite to a masquerade ball.
7- An extensive headband collection
The headband is an absolute right of passage for Blair and her devoted underlings.
8- Shoulder bones that could cut glass
Because everybody knows that clothes hang better when your body resembles a coat hanger.
9- A pint-sized pooch
A given…
10- Silk pajamas
Your responsibility to look gorgeous does not stop just because you happen to be alone, asleep, or in a pitch-black room.
According to the LA Times
Mo Rocca, host of CBS’s “The Tomorrow Show,” headed to London to give spray-on clothing a try.
Watch designer Manel Torres, creator of Fabrican spray-on fabric, spray on Rocca’s shirt, then observe as Rocca takes to the London streets to get a read on whether spray-on fabrics could be the next best thing in fashion.
Judging from reactions — “It looks like you’ve had an accident,” says one passerby — it seems it may be destined to go the way of shoulder pads.
Would you wear it?

I don’t think there’s any better example of how you can be a victim of your fashion choice than the example of Jessica Simpson at her performance at a recent Florida chili cook-off. The color, cut and accessories all can be used to flatter or add pounds to your figure.
Here are some tips from the pros.
1. Grab a Belt.
A thick or thin belt will help accentuate your waist-instantly making you look tinier.
2. Tuck It In
The quickest way to get rid of lOve-handle/muffin-top/back-fat action is by hiding them. Opt for blouses over a body-hugging top.
3. Give ‘Em a V
A plunging neck line draws attention away from a pooch.
4. Wrap It Up
Wrap dresses are flattering for all body types. It is very slimming and conforms to your curves.
5. Look Long and Lean
A halter dress elongates your figure and flatters your shoulders.
6. Go Greek
The latest on the red carpet greek-style tops draping and ruching camouflages any unsightly bulges.
7. Mold into a Corset
A corset may not be the most comfortable design, but it does give women that feminine hour-glass figure.
8. Hike It Up
Another popular design this season is the higher waist-line that conceals any belly bulge.
9. Play Peekaboo
Layer a sheer top over a opaque tank top for a sexy, but sweet look.
Top designers like Richard Chai, Zac Posen and Sophie Theallet revealed their more affordable and wearable collection, or as they say in the industry “contemporary” line at this years Fashion week.
Designers have acknowledged that people need more accessible clothing- this means that the designers are showcasing clothing that is less glamorous and much more sellable.
Heels have always been big on the red carpet. The coveted Jimmy Choos and the red-soled Christian Laboutin shoes are just a couple of reasons women spend so much on shoes that will kill their feet at the end of the night.
Prancing in heels gives women a sense of power and sexiness that helps us all pull off the teeniest of dresses. This season, the high heels are out and the flats are back.
Sebastian Manes, the director of accessories at Selfridges told TimesOnline, thinks that shoe trends are going one way only. “Last season the high heel moved away from being sexy and became very avant-garde — this season designers prove that the flat shoe is not boring or conservative. It is as fashion-forward as heels.
Pam Brady, the shoe buyer for Browns thinks that flats are a fashion result of the recession. “People don’t want to be showy in this economic climate; there’s a trend towards understated style. Ironically, flats may well cost as much as showier heels, but the perception of them is very different.”

Arguably the sexiest swimsuit you can put on is not a barely there bikini, but a one-piece with strategically placed cutouts.
Show skin in all the right places with the latest in swimsuit design, the monokini. This swimsuit adds a subtle sexiness to the one-piece. The monokini is the newest way to bring fashion to the pool side this summer.
This swimsuit allows you to cover up, while showing snippets of skin in less obvious places, like the sides of the stomach or the lower back. The only thing sexier than showing it all is leaving something to the imagination and giving the guys something to talk about.
