Nothing can match the bodaciously awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. They’re pizza eating bipedal ninjas named after renaissance artists, with a rat for a master! Sure, they had a few missteps over the years, but nothing compares to their short lived 1997 Television series “The Next Mutation”. continue reading...

In Quebec, Canada there is a very popular French comedy series called “Tete a Claque.” The skits feature characters sculpted from modelling clay with actual faces superimposed with the creator’s actual eyes, mouth, and sometimes nose by means of a computer. To make it extra funny, its creator (Michel Beaudet) wears a set of fake nasty teeth while his face is being filmed.

This episode is exceptionally funny, especially to American and English viewers as it pokes fun at language divides. Oh, and incase you’re curious, the phrase “Tête à claques” translates loosely to “a face so ugly, you want to slap it.” continue reading...

jurassic-park-4.jpg

Jurassic Park 3 was pretty terrible in every respect. It felt cheap, the acting & story were cringeworthy and Dr. Grant had a homoerrotic-like relationship with his understudy. Is nothing sacred? Apparently not…The karate Kid has been remade and will be arriving on June 11th of this year. The film stars Will Smith’s son and Jackie Chan as his master.

Here’s the films synopsis:
12-year-old Dre Parker could’ve been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother’s latest career move has landed him in China. Dre immediately falls for his classmate Mei Ying - and the feeling is mutual - but cultural differences make such a friendship impossible. Even worse, Dre’s feelings make an enemy of the class bully, Cheng. In the land of kung fu, Dre knows only a little karate, and Cheng puts “the karate kid” on the floor with ease. With no friends in a strange land, Dre has nowhere to turn but maintenance man Mr. Han, who is secretly a master of kung fu. As Han teaches Dre that kung fu is not about punches and parries, but maturity and calm, Dre realizes that facing down the bullies will be the fight of his life. continue reading...
