A new study has cemented the link between heart attacks and “the Western Diet.” This Western diet is defined as rich in fried foods, salt and meat, and it accounts for 35 per cent of heart attacks. The study also looks diets throughout the world and their effect on health. For example, the “Oriental diet” is high in salt, and therefore - for this and other reasons - a large number of Asian adults suffer from hypertension.
