Chicago, IL–To say that SoulStice spits knowledge would be an understatement; after all, he does have a Masters Degree in Electrical Computer Engineering and holds down a position with the Department of Defense! Yet, SoulStice iterates that the challenge of balancing his high-powered “day job” and his passion for music is the creative fuel behind his unique brand of hip hop. Years of grind and immersion in hip hop culture culminated in the fall of 2005 for SoulStice with the release of his debut album North by Northwest: Solid Ground. Released independently through Wandering Soul Records, the album was quickly hailed by critics and fans as one of the best hip hop albums of 2005. The success of the debut was followed up in 2006 with the release of the collaborative album Dark Water, which SoulStice crafted as part of the hip hop duo, Wade Waters.

SoulStice has since been featured in XXL Magazine, The Source, URB, Scratch, Elemental, allhiphop.com and many other key hip hop publications and websites. Renowned journalist Tavis Smiley has even declared himself a fan of his music, interviewing SoulStice and Wade Waters on his nationally syndicated radio show. Performing throughout the US and Europe, SoulStice has shared stages with artists as diverse as John Legend and Wu-Tang Clan and has collaborated with AZ of Illmatic fame, former Terror Squad member, Cuban Link, Justus League’s 9th Wonder and many others. SoulStice is also a voting member of the Recording Academy and attended the 2007 Grammy Awards this past February. This fall, SoulStice is set to release his sophomore solo effort, Dead Letter Perfect, which he calls “the perfect hip hop album.”

Dead Letter Perfect exemplifies SoulStice’s blend of Chicago soul with east-coast boom-bap; resulting in what he insists is “commercial hip hop” with awareness and attitude. Hip-hop is considered by many to be “classic” when it paints a picture vivid enough to be experienced by any listener, regardless of their own background. Throughout Dead Letter Perfect, SoulStice documents his one-of-a-kind journey from the windy city of Chicago to the nation’s capitol of Washington, DC, and across the globe. Although “classic” is a claim that only time can verify, SoulStice’s claim to have made the perfect album can only be decided by the legion of Hip-hop fans worldwide.

AVAILABLE SEPTEMBER 18, 2007 ON SONY BMG MUSIC (CANADA) INC.

FEATURING FAMED LATIN GUEST MUSICIANS INCLUCING CARLOS SANTANA, SHEILA E., JOSE FELICIANO, JOHNNY PACHECO, ARTURO SANDOLVA, LA INDIA, CACHAO AND CHOCOLATE

ESTEFAN’S FIRST SPANISH ALBUM IN SEVEN YEARS

(New York/NY) SONY BMG Music Entertainment and Burgundy Records announce the release of GLORIA ESTEFAN’s new Spanish-language album, “90 MILLAS” – in stores September 18, 2007. Having sold over 70 million albums worldwide and recorded 24 albums, “90 Millas” brings Gloria back to where it all began – her roots. Produced by her husband, Emilio Estefan, the collection of newly recorded original Spanish language songs, co-written by Gloria Estefan, pays tribute to the roots of Cuban music while infusing a modern influence into the traditional rhythms.

The album also pays homage to the most influential and universally respected Latin musicians of the past fifty years. Some of the artists joining Estefan on this album include Grammy award winning artist CARLOS SANTANA, JOHNNY PACHECO (whom many refer to as the ‘godfather of salsa’), trumpet virtuoso ALFREDO ‘CHOCOLATE’ ARMENTEROS, conga drum diva SHEILA E., actor and musician ANDY GARCIA, and CACHAO who is credited as the creator of mambo.

This blend of musicians on “90 Millas” is historically significant on a number of levels. This is the first, and quite possibly the last time that all of these legendary artists will play together on one CD. The newly released first single, “No Llores” features guest performances by famed Latin musicians Carlos Santana, Sheila E. and Jose Feliciano; just one of the incredible collaborations found on this CD.

“It is so important for me to keep authentic Cuban sounds alive. All these great artists have changed the landscape of latin music and its an honor to have them on this album. I believe this album will expose a new generation to the richness of Cuban music,” says Estefan.

“90 MILLAS” is a roots album. Its songs portray authentic Cuban sounds through upbeat danceable tracks like ‘Pintame’ and ‘Esta Fiesta No Va Acabar,’ to poignant ballads like ‘Yo No Cambiaría’ and celebratory tracks like ‘Cuando Cuba Sea Libre.’

Of ‘Cuando Cuba Sea Libre’ Gloria explains, “I hold this song very close to my heart. Its title translates to ‘the day Cuba is free.’ And it talks about what a celebration that will be…it’s going to be great for both the Cubans inside and outside because all we’re going to do is celebrate that now Cuba is free. We will celebrate the fact that people there have options open to them, that they have the ability to move forward into this century that they will enjoy the freedoms that we enjoy worldwide. It’s not a political song, it’s simply about a big party that will be had regardless of what may come after or how difficult things may be.”

Described by Gloria “an amazing explosion of rhythm,” the title track ‘90 Millas’ is Afro-Cuban - a genre typically recognized by its use of syncopated rhythm. Of dueting with La India on this track Gloria says, “…It was a great feeling in the studio between her and me because we’ve wanted to work together for a long time. And this song particularly was very special to us because it is very representative of the wild rhythms and the differences that we have in the rhythms of Cuban music. I think it’s one of my favorite tracks.”

Guest Musicians:

Papo Lucca, Johnny Pacheco, Candido Camero, Paquito De Rivera, Alfredo “Chocolate” Armenteros, Nelson Gonzales, Andy Garcia, Sheila E, Carlos Santana, Orestes Vilato, Cachao, Generoso Jimenez, Giovanni Hidalgo, La India, Jose Feliciano, Juanito Marquez, Luis Enrique, Arturo Sandoval, Paquito Hechevarria, and Salvador Cuevas.

Ask anyone who knows, and they will tell you that the next artist set to blow up is none other than Topic. Quietly building a growing buzz since his initial signing to SRC/Universal, Topic is now beginning to receive pay-off from a large amount of past diligent work including producing and circulating his own popular mixtape entitled “The Coast Guard” hosted by the powerful west coast DJ Skee and influential east coast DJ Kay Slay . His latest coup is having tracks “That’s Not Me” and “How It Goes (Ridin’ Threw The West) placed directly into rotation on KDAY’s iconic “Westside Radio” by the legendary west coast air personality Julio G in Los Angeles, California even before completion of his album. To support this action, he is set to do a 10 city promotional tour on the west coast beginning July 8, 2007. Topic also recently completed an appearance in label mate David Banner’s video shot in Miami, Florida.

But this is not at all surprising for an artist who has already collaborated with such icons as Snoop Doggy Dogg as well as one who can lay claim to the longest running theme song for BET’s syndicated “Comic View”. Entertaining viewers since 2005, “Get Your Laugh On” places Topic in a class by himself as an artist with a television theme song prior to a full album release. To his credit is also a hit on the “Take the Lead” soundtrack with the cut “Never Gonna Get It (Swagger)” with Akon and a cut on “Fight Night 360.”

Topic has also just be asked to speak during an upcoming prestigious hip hop Town Hall meeting in August on UCLA’s campus. Initiated by the non-profit organization Hip Hop Leaders and sponsored in part by automotive newcomer Scion; the panel will examine language in lyrics and address at-risk youth in the audience. Topic joins fellow speaker DJ Premier as well.

All this, and he’s only getting started….

Ever since her mom gave birth to her in their Malibu home overlooking the ocean, Colbie Caillat has been the quintessential California girl. Her idea of a good time is hanging out with her friends at a beach bonfire or hopping in the car, tunes at the ready, and driving up the Pacific Coast Highway. On Coco, her Universal Republic debut, the songs mirror Caillat’s low-key, refreshing style. Armed with her acoustic guitar and her dusky vocals, she evokes the same gentle, yet spirited style of her musical influences John Mayer, Bob Marley, Lauryn Hill and The Weepies.

As befits the organic style of her music, Caillat’s fan base has grown by word of mouth, one person at a time. Last year, she began posting her songs on her myspace.com; tunes like “Bubbly,” a delightful confection about romance, and “Tailor Made,” Caillat’s joyful message to her sister over seeing her sibling find the perfect mate. With no marketing push and only the power of the music behind her, Caillat became a sensation on the social networking site. Last October when she had 6,240 friends, Rolling Stone highlighted her as one of the top female artists on MySpace. Ultimately, Caillat became the #l unsigned artist for over four months and her number of friends swelled to more than 100,000. Her profile has been visited over 3 million times, and she has more than l0 million plays.
