Q: Ugly were formed from the break-up of other bands. What’s the story?
We were the red headed step children of the bands Outspoken (lava Atlantic) and bridge from Detroit….we met on the road of all places Cleveland…..actually myself and Frank (outspoken bass player) drank waaaaaaay to much whiskey that evening! I think frank and I fought …..all I remember was waking up to our manager (at the time) yelling at me on the cell phone, something about trashing the venue, dressing room and showing my wiener to everyone on stage!……bridge and outspoken broke up…Kevin joined Tantric (Warner-maverick) for a few years and him and I met in mt Clemens at a tantric show. I handed him a pro tools session of some tunes I was working on and we decided to go from there………it just clicked! We laugh when we hear band bitch about rehearsing and having to drive from one end of town to the other…we drive 6 hours 1 way to rehearse every other weekend!!! so fuck you and your little bullshit excuses…you want this right? ///that’s our story…we are 4 men!!! Yes men who understand that this IS the fucking Music BUSINESS!…..people are going to fuck you big time…boo hoo…get over it and write!

We are the people that no one gave a shit aboutWe don’t care about no emo , nu metal bullshit….too much stress in this world for peoples to go spend their hard earned cash watching some asshole complain on stage about George Bush screwing them and mean while they go home to their little palace on cribs and tell Mtv why they have it so bad! Q: When a new fan sees your live show, what should they expect to experience?
EVERYTHING!!!!! Rock and roll…..leave it out on stage ……we WILL blow you away…if we don’t…come and tell us..We WANT to hear what people have to say…shit we can even tune and set up our own gear….seems to be lacking these days in this primadonna world of rock and roll we are in! ask your local sound company guy? He’ll tell you!!!!
Q: Usually I ask bands what their single is about. In your case, I think I know what’s up… “sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll” eh? Why did you decide to write a song about those things?
Because I have had enough of people giving rappers the pass card for writing ” I want to shit down your neck and pisss”!!!!!! I mean lighten up people….I wrote this song because people SHOULD be talking about sex drugs and rock and roll…if more people did, this world WOULD be a better place…im not saying to go out and fuck, smoke crack and listen to Ozzy!!!! I am saying take part in one another’s life!!!! Take a moral inventory and go from there!
Q: I enjoyed your record a lot. Very raw guitar sounds, great vocals. How was working with Parashar?
A trip…Rick IS hands down the greatest producer that people barley talk about!!! When I walked into do my first vocal track….He took out of this amazing rose wood box a nueman mic and said ‘no pressure, this mic has only recorded 100 million records sold!”……I shit my pants!!!!!! We had to go have a drink and loosen up!..But seriously…Rick is the man……he got “it” before anyone else did..and hes heard the cream of the crap!….He doesn’t push you…he asks you what you can do and stops you 10 minutes before you thinks you are thinking about stopping…PLUS rick IS extremely competitive!!!!! Pool and ping pong……we watched him SWEAT his ass off playing this guy in Cleveland in ping pong……he is the man!

Not really…it’s all been said 100 times over and again…. We aint nothing but 4 guys trying to change peoples minds…….and there definitely is NOT enough room here to write about that… Thank you for the love…..thanks for the props…People, if you dig it, tell a friend, if you don’t, tell us….the ONLY way we can make YOU happy is by listening, something a lot more people in this business should do!

The chart-topping multi-platinum hip-hop dynamos Bow Wow and Omarion have joined forces to create a new collaborative collection that promises to become one of the major musical events of 2007. The top secret Bow Wow-Omarion project will be released this fall.
While details of the Bow Wow-Omarion project remain under wraps, the new album marks the culmination of a joint collaborative process dating back to 2005, when Omarion’s vocal contributions to “Let Me Hold You,” the first single from Bow Wow’s fourth album, Wanted, peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100, giving Bow Wow his first-ever Top 10 single and Omarion his first Top 10 as a solo artist.
That same year, Bow Wow and Omarion hit the road as co-headliners on the SRO “Scream Tour IV Presents: The Heart Throb Tour.”
“Me and O have been trying to put this together for so many years, and now we’ve got the opportunity to do it,” Bow Wow told Billboard.com earlier this month. “We’re in the creative process right now, coming up with ideas daily, so the process is real smooth. We’re anxious to make this whole thing happen. It’s gonna be a special event. It’s gonna be crazy, something the people have been waiting on — the girls have been waiting on — for years. O’s one of my best friends. Anytime you get a chance to work with somebody you’re best friends with, it’s not even work, it’s like working with family.”
Omarion shares his best friend’s enthusiasm for the as-yet-unnamed project. “This isn’t about money, this is about music,” says Omarion. “We both started young and have grown up together, working on the same tours, and have developed our identity in the music world. Jay-Z and R Kelly were the first big R&B/Rap combo, and we have great respect for them and have been inspired by them, but we still want to create something we can call our own. We just want to do our own thing. We want to have a great time and make good music for our fans. This is gonna be fun, so ‘World, Watch out! We’re coming!’”

It would be hard to find a band with grander artistic scope than Coheed and Cambria. Over the course of six years and four groundbreaking albums, the New York foursome has diligently developed a unique sound combining forward-thinking classic rock with strong pop sensibilities and intricate musicianship. Simultaneously, through his lyrics and comics, Sanchez has created a celebrated epic alternate universe called The Amory Wars, in which lies an ongoing conceptual tale that gains depth and complexity with each and every record.
With the band’s latest creation, the euphoric No World For Tomorrow, we arrive at the final chapter in the saga of Claudio Kilgannon, the story’s main character, who is out to avenge the death of his parents (Coheed and Cambria Kilgannon). While the story is set to reach its destructive end with NWFT, the band reveals their next album will be a prequel to the saga.

Formed in 2001, Coheed and Cambria came storming out of the indie-rock gates with the release of their first album, The Second Stage Turbine Blade, on Equal Vision Records. Endless touring and progressive, hook-laden songs like “Delirium Trigger” and “Devil in Jersey City” led to the rapid development of the band’s early fan base.
The follow-up, 2003’s In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3, was certified RIAA gold on the strength of the group’s ongoing intense touring schedule and the hit singles “Blood Red Summer” and “A Favor House Atlantic.” The band emerged as a tour de force, embraced not only by their now fanatical fans, but also by radio, press and MTV.
2005’s Good Apollo, I’m Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness, the band’s first for Columbia Records, reached #7 on the Billboard Top 200. It was also a critical juggernaut, being named one of the “Greatest Guitar Albums of All Time” by Guitar World, while Rock Sound awarded it “Album of the Year.” Coheed’s knack for writing indelible songs, such as “Welcome Home,” and “The Suffering” combined with monolithically powerful album tracks and the band’s heavy follow through, secured their status as a massive live draw and presence around the world.
However, the wheels were falling off the wagon.
Fitting its title, No World For Tomorrow was born out of huge uncertainty. June, 2006 saw the departure of half the band; drummer Josh Eppard and bassist Michael Todd left under somewhat cloudy circumstances. “A lot of what this record is about has to do with the events of the past two years.” quipped Sanchez. “It got to the point where Travis and I thought there might not be a tomorrow for Coheed as a band.”
Deep in turmoil and unsure of the future, Sanchez and Stever decided to keep the band together and make a new record. Fortunately, by the time they were ready to go into the studio, bassist Todd rejoined and Raskulinecz helped secure Foo Fighter Taylor Hawkins to play drums on NWFT. “Taylor was a creative and powerful force in the studio,” remarked Sanchez. “His amazing personality was the positive reinforcement we needed to see this vision through.”
Nietzsche’s line, “That which doesn’t kill us, makes us stronger,” seems like it could have been coined for this situation…. After everything Sanchez, Stever and Todd have been through, they could have packed it in… instead, they delivered the album of their lives.
Musically, on NWFT, Sanchez’s evolution as a songwriter is glowingly apparent, with both him and Stever showing more confidence and experimentation in terms of the writing process and opening up to a wide range of instrumentation. For the first time, Sanchez found himself composing songs — “Mother Superior” and “On the Brink” — on piano instead of guitar, while tracks like “The Hound (of Blood and Rank)” were written on a vintage Wurlitzer organ. “‘The Hound’ started with me writing on a Wurlitzer, but ended up being really guitar heavy. I don’t think we would have been able to write some of these guitar riffs without using the keyboard as a foundation,” Sanchez explains. “We wouldn’t have done that in the past.”
The first single, “The Running Free,” twists and turns through breakneck rhythmic changes and hooky melodic sections with heavy single-note guitar-riffing under Sanchez’s signature “Oh-oh-ohs.” Another key track, “Feathers,” is prime example of the band’s collaborative maturity (and easily the band’s catchiest song to date). This spirit runs even deeper on the album’s straight-ahead rockers like “Gravemakers & Gunslingers,” the sonic mind-melt of “The End Complete,” and the album’s proggy, jam-heavy finale, “On The Brink.”
Lyrically, NWFT possesses a poetic vulnerability coming from Sanchez, for the first time allowing his personal life to infiltrate the band’s creative process. A powerful example is “Justice in Murder,” a song inspired by Sanchez’s Aunt Antonia, who last year passed away from the tragic disease of Alzheimer’s. Antonia Cristiano was a psychologist who played an essential role early in the band’s career- counseling them when they were experiencing deep growing pains and literally keeping them from breaking up in 2002. No World for Tomorrow is dedicated to her memory.
Of course, for a band with such mythology, musical diversity and depth; visuals are never taken lightly. The imagery for NWFT was hand painted in oils by legendary fantasy artist Ken Kelly, the man most recognized for creating the iconic KISS album covers Destroyer and Love Gun.
Since the completion of NWFT, ex-Dillinger Escape Plan drummer Chris Pennie has become an official member of Coheed and Cambria and has changed the outlook of a band that thought it was on the brink of a break up a mere seven months earlier. Sanchez reveals, “Josh leaving the band was quite a blow for us — but having Taylor on the record, and now having Chris in the band full-time, has allowed us to progress in a way that is really exciting.”
In line with this feeling of rejuvenation, and despite No World For Tomorrow’s seemingly bleak title, Sanchez insists that in the end, the album is truly about hope and the ability to persevere in the face of adversity. “The album is called No World For Tomorrow, but in a way it’s very uplifting… yes, it’s the end of the story and everyone dies… but with every ending is a new beginning, and for Coheed, as a band, it hasn’t felt this good in a long time.”

With her powerful vocal prowess, writing abilities, dance proficiency, years of working as a professional session singer (singing on gold and platinum selling projects, jingles, etc.) and experience as a professional actress, model, on top of being a veteran live performer. Recently, after moving to New York City, Kelly has performed as the lead in both the hit Off-Broadway show, “Hunka Hunka Burning Love” “Our Sinatra” and “Moses” the musical. She has performed with the Duke Ellington Orchestra at the legendary venue, Birdland and has been constantly writing and recording in local recording studios in the area.
