Before there was MTV, there was Manilow TV, and now Barry Manilow: The First Television Specials DVD box set gathers five of Manilow’s early network TV specials from 1977 to 1988, over a decade in the career of one of music’s most enduring artists. Manilow has been extremely prolific of late, with his series of successful records commemorating great songs from the 70s, 60s, and 50s. This collection would truly make a great gift for any Barry Manilow fan.

After an unexpected reunion tour this fall the guys in Superdrag have again surprised loyal fans with 2 new songs available on their MySpace page. Both songs are fantastic and one can only hope that this means they’ll be recording a new album in the near future.
