Sea Trials, the major label debut from rising young Chicago-based rock band Absentstar, will be released April 15, 2008 on Canvasback Music/Columbia Records. Absentstar’s four-song EP is already generating attention, as the Cleveland Plain Dealer says, “the band is sure to bring a bit of air to all those radio-music addicts burnt out on the sugar-pill pop sound.” Absentstar is on tour now. Please see reverse for a complete schedule.
Sea Trials was recorded with singer/songwriter/producer Dan Wilson at the Terrarium Studio in Minneapolis and mixed by Michael Brauer (John Mayer, Coldplay, My Morning Jacket, among others). Wilson, whose solo debut will come in October on American Recordings, took home a Song Of The Year Grammy® in February for co-writing “Not Ready To Make Nice” with the Dixie Chicks.

Supergrass are back with an all new album called “Diamond Hoo Ha” and hopefully this is the album that brings these guys some respect in North America. They’ve never released a bad album and their live show is something to be cherished, but they can also release a mean music video. The video for “Bad Blood”, the second single off of Diamond Hoo Ha is no exception. With wild camera movements mimicking the movements of objects on the screen, this clip with make your head spin (kind of like the intro). Check this video out and show some love for Supergrass, they sure deserve it:
