September 19, 2008 (ENGLEWOOD, NJ) Ring the alarm. The Vault is being opened. It holds 12 never-before-released recordings from Grammy Award-winning, platinum-selling R&B songstress Ashanti. The Vault will be released October 14th by AJM Records.

The Vault contains vocal recordings penned by Ashanti in 2001 while signed exclusively to AJM Records. This composite of work was completed before AJM’s joint venture with Murder Inc/Def Jam in 2002.

Top notch producers added the finishing touches to The Vault, including 15-year-old producing wunderkind Miguel “Migs” Baeza. Migs produced the first single set to drop from The Vault, “Let’s Do Something Crazy”.

For the cut, Migs brought in hip-hop superstar Flo-Rida to drop a few rhymes, making “Let’s Do Something Crazy” a sure hit.  “Although the track is not like any other Ashanti song heard before, I tried to please her already established fan base by maintaining the classic Ashanti style while at the same time indulging a new audience with an upbeat, exciting feel on this upcoming single”, says Migs. Migs also worked his magic on the irresistible “Satisfy”, another track from The Vault.

Other producers on the album include Kidd Kold AJM’s in-house producer who is responsible for the 2nd single “Imagine”. Kidd has produced 8 tracks on The Vault and has worked with DMX and Foxy Brown. Additional producers include Nocko, Steven White and Kenny Flav. Nocko is no stranger to hit makers. He has worked with countless top artists like Mary J. Blige, T.I., Trina, LilMo, Monica, Teddy Riley, Ludacris, Nelly, and Rick Ross. This dream team of producers has turned The Vault into a must have treasure.

Get ready to discover the treasure of Ashanti: The Vault. Its musical gems are priceless recordings.

The All-American Rejects are back and have set November 18th to release When The World Comes Down, the follow up release to the double-platinum, Move Along that featured the smash hits “Move Along,” “Dirty Little Secret” and “It Ends Tonight.” The band has just unveiled the first single, “Gives You Hell,” from the new record, and in true Rejects fashion, the track is undeniably catchy with an anthemic chorus that will be sure to send the band back atop the charts. Listen to “Gives You Hell” now:

Here’s an early peek at new music from The Killers.  They have a new album due in November called Day and Age and the song “Human” is set to be the first single. Its a good tune, not as bombastic and grandiose as the other lead singles the band has offered, but on first listen I like it. Check it out:

This is fairly amazing…from RollingStone.com:

Former blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, 32, and celebrity DJ Adam “AM” Goldstein, 35, suffered extensive burns after the plane they were traveling in crashed during takeoff from a South Carolina airport Friday night (September 19th) at 11:53 p.m. The Learjet 60 — a twin-engine, private plane that was heading to California — overran the end of the runway, plowed through a fence and continued onto a road, causing a significant fire. The four other passengers were killed, including the pilot and co-pilot. According to MTV News, the other two casualties include Barker’s assistant, 29-year-old Chris “Little Chris” Baker, and his security guard, 25-year-old Charles Still. Barker and DJ AM escaped the blaze and are currently being treated at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia. The pair had just performed at at a free T-Mobile-sponsored show at Columbia’s Five Points shopping district with Perry Farrell and Gavin DeGraw; they recently teamed up as part of the house band at MTV’s VMAs.

UPDATE: According to the doctor attending Barker and AM, both received second and third degree burns but are expected to make a full recovery. Remarkably, they did not sustain any other injuries in the crash.
