When he started out, he was a DJ.  Today, he is labeled a turntablist, whatever that means.  Even Kid Koala himself isn’t sure, and likens the term to a religion – a fact that may not be far off.  Most importantly to him, his chosen media is a form of expression like any other.  In this video, http://www.WatchMojo.com chats with Kid Koala who tells us why DJing is for the shy, why he finds it so difficult to clear his head, and we find out more about his other artistic endeavors, including his graphic novels. continue reading...

Formed in Glasgow in 2003, Glasvegas is one of today’s most buzzed about alt rock bands.  And with the unmistakable Scottish brogue of singer James Allan’s vocals, coupled with meaningful lyrics and the kind of music you know should fill an arena, it’s no wonder why.  A blend of retro garage rock and with a modern edge, their aesthetic is appealing to the everyman in everyone.  In this video, http://www.WatchMojo.com speaks with the band about how they’ve grown as a group, and we ask drummer Caroline what it’s like being the only girl in the band.

Glasvegas has toured with some of today’s biggest groups.  U2, Kings of Leon and Oasis are just a few names you might have seen on the roster next to the band.  The Glasgow music scene has also given birth to numerous bands, none of which sound similar to each other.  In this second video we find out more about the Glasgow scene, gets the band to weigh in on Oasis’ most recent breakup, and we find out what it was like for Glasvegas to tour with the Gallagher brothers and U2. continue reading...

Formed in 2005 and today based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, Mother Mother is an indie rock five-piece. Sort of. Originally just ‘Mother,’ which vocalist Ryan Guldemond calls “the best band name out there,” the band’s music really defies genres. The band is constantly surrounded by positive buzz, which has only grown since their acceptance by Spin Magazine and Perez Hilton. But love ‘em or hate ‘em, you have to admit they’re one-of-a-kind. In this video, http://www.WatchMojo.com speaks with Mother Mother about whether their home town inspires them, and whether hype helps or hinders a band.

Originally formed in 1988 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, today’s Anti-Flag is one of modern punk rock’s most iconic and well-known bands. They’re outspoken about American politics and social issues, and heavily involved in activism – associating themselves with such groups as Democracy Now!, Greenpeace, PETA and Amnesty International. In this video, http://www.WatchMojo.com Chris Barker, a.k.a. Chris #2 of the band tells us why it’s important for the band to discuss politics and social issues in their music, as opposed to simply drugs and girls. He also discusses today’s political scene as he sees it, and tells us why he would like to thank George W. Bush.

GWAR’s story started over 40 billion years ago, on their home planet, Scumdogia. After falling out of favor with their Master, they were banished to the worst planet in the galaxy: Earth. After killing off the dinosaurs and creating the human race, they were entombed in Antarctica to prevent any further damage to the planet. Fortunately for metal fans everywhere, they were eventually released, given instruments and have since become a leader in the metal scene. In this video, WatchMojo.com was lucky enough to attend a press conference with Oderus Urungus and Beefcake the Mighty from the band, where they discuss such topics as their 25th anniversary, Halloween costumes, the H1N1 virus, and their latest album, Lust in Space. WARNING: Video contains explicit material.
