Yes, you did indeed read that right. While supplies last, when you purchase any configuration (regular cd edition, limited edition-deluxe hard-bound version and limited edition deluxe box ( 3LP’s, 2 CD, book and poster) available only at Best Buy) of the initial pressing of Judas Priest’s double disc concept album, ‘Nostradamus’ (release date – June 17th), specially marked CD’s will contain an insert with a exclusive code inside the CD package for one free lawn ticket to see Judas Priest on selected dates of the Metal Masters tour this summer, courtesy of Live Nation (see below for a complete list). Visit www.judaspriest.com for details on this special offer. This seemingly too-good-to-be-true offer will be good while supplies last. Also, this offer will not pertain to all the dates of the Metal Masters tour (see below for complete list of dates that the offer is good for).
The Metal Masters tour will undoubtedly be the top metal concert attraction of the summer. In addition to a headlining performance by Judas Priest, fans will also be treated to sets by Heaven & Hell, Motorhead, and Testament. “As ever, we look forward to screaming out loud with our metal maniac fans when we hit the road,” enthuses Priest singer, Rob Halford. “The Priest is back!”
The tour, produced by Live Nation, will be Priest’s first thorough sets of U.S. dates in nearly three years, and will be in support of the group’s aforementioned ‘Nostradamus’ release. Long in the works, ‘Nostradamus’ was recorded in the UK, and takes epic storytelling to a whole new level, as it recounts the life of this mysterious, world-known 16th century French prophet.
Some of the events that Nostradamus experts have interpreted as some of his predictions include the great fire of London in 1666, the rise of Adolf Hitler, and most recently, 9-11, among countless other renowned events.
“For me, ‘Nostradamus’ has been a musical journey without comparison,” adds guitarist KK Downing. “The intrigue and mystery that surrounds this revered man has expanded my perception of heavy metal to the highest plateau and enabled me to reach the outer limits of my imagination and transport unique feelings and emotions to the instrument that allows me to express myself.”
Praiseworthy advance reviews of ‘Nostradamus’ have only caused the buzz to grow around Priest’s 16th studio release overall. Case in point, a review by Eddie Trunk (host of the syndicated radio show ‘Eddie Trunk Rocks’), in which he raved, “Priest touches on so much new ground and really pushed the envelope on some things.
The album takes you on a nearly two-hour journey. It is without a doubt best looked at as a complete work as all true concept albums are. You can really see it living out on a stage. It sounds like Priest have truly created something special and once again lived up to their rightful billing as ‘Metal Gods’.”
As to why they chose to make a concept album about Nostradamus, Glenn Tipton explains: “We didn’t - he chose us. We feel it was meant to be!”
Soon, the Metal Gods will be destroying a concert stage near you.

(New York, NY, March 24, 2008) Universal Republic rock icons 3 Doors Down are putting up massive radio numbers with their first single, “Its Not My Time,” from their soon-to-be released self-titled album, due in-stores on May 27. Their much anticipated fourth studio album has spawned rock’s biggest radio hit of the year so far, with the debut single becoming the fastest moving song at Active Rock radio in the past five years. The #1 most added song at Alternative radio the past 3 weeks in a row, “It’s Not My Time” was also the biggest Gainer at the coveted rock radio format, leaping from #20 to #16 as it closes in on the prestigious 50,000 mark in digital sales in less than a month of release.
“The early radio success of “It’s Not My Time” is an incredible indication of more great things to come from this band and this album,” stated Monte Lipman, President & CEO of Universal Republic Records. “3 Doors Down have become a signature presence in rock through hard work and passionate songwriting that speaks directly to their audience. They have delivered a career-defining album that we cannot wait to get into the hands of fans.”
The new CD has already got internet fans buzzing, with talk of other choice tracks such as the adrenalin-fueled “Train,” and the rousing “It’s The Only One You’ve Got”, pointing to more milestones from the Mississipi fivesome, from a new album steeped in rock anthems and power-driven radio hits. The follow-up to their #1 debut album, 2005’s Seventeen Days, lead singer Brad Arnold cites this effort as perhaps the most communal band effort. “3 Doors Down has always been about every band member giving everything we’ve got,” says the singer/songwriter. “On this album we really wanted to make every song count. We owe it to our fans who have been there to support us from day one.”
The group’s followers have embraced “It’s Not My Time” in record numbers, making it one of the bigger request records of the new year. The single’s jump from #10 to #4 on the Active rock chart marks one of the fastest launches into the Top Ten of any 3 Doors Down song in their history.
With nearly 13 million albums sold worldwide, the fiery group has rewritten the rock script on maintaining commercial success and securing rabid fan appeal without bowing to trends or compromising their grassroots approach. Braced by front-man Brad Arnold’s enduring vocal power, 3 Doors Down has put together an amazing streak of powerful albums and chart-topping singles, including their 6 million selling 2000 breakthrough effort, The Better Life, and epic mega-hit signature songs such as the #1 “Kryptonite,” and “When I’m Gone,” from 2003’s 4 million selling epic Away >From The Sun.
The group also broke with convention when writing the songs for the new album, holing up in a Nashville cabin together until the songs were completed, and then hightailing it down to Orlando, FL, to record the new CD with producer Johnny K. (he also helmed Seventeen Days).
The group kicked off a Spring tour in Panama City Beach, FL. on March 20th, and continue on with promotional stops that include kicking off the Indy Race Car season on March 29th at the Homestead Miami Speedway, and a highly touted upcoming show in association with the NCAA CokeFest on April 6 in San Antonio, CA. 3 Doors Down will film a Coke commercial during their show on the 6th which will air before the NCAA Championship Game on April 7. The band are also lined up to appear at the Gridiron Bash in Tempe, AZ on April 18th. On May 17th Dale Jr. will drive his third 3 Doors Down car in NASCAR’s All Star Race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, N.C.

Here it is! The first MP3 from the much anticipated Tokyo Police Club debut full length, Elephant Shell. The song is called “In A Cave”, and the album comes out April 22nd. See below for tour dates, these guys are not to be missed!!!
Tokyo Police Club - “In A Cave”
BIO:
Following on one of the most well received 16 minutes of music in recent history (2006’s A Lesson In Crime EP), Newmarket Ontario’s Tokyo Police Club will release a debut album entitled Elephant Shell, due out late April on Saddle Creek in North America and Memphis Industries in the UK.
Elephant Shell lands roughly a year and half after A Lesson In Crime (with last year’s Smith EP and “Your English Is Good” digi-single and a ton of touring also bridging the gap) and barely four years from the band’s 2005 formation. Not bad for four friends who learned to play during senior year in high school, later naming themselves for a nonsensical lyric from the song that would become track one on their first EP, which would in turn sell over 70,000 copies-probably about 69,000 more than they expected-and garner accolades from Entertainment Weekly (”We can hardly wait for the full length A-), Rolling Stone (”If only all young guitar bands were smart enough to rock out this fast, banging out seven first-rate mod-punk party starters in barely more than sixteen minutes”), Interview, Blender, Nylon and The New York Times among others.
If bassist/vocalist David Monks once described the band’s music as “wide-eyed post-punk with a tendency to get over excited-so much so that someone has to come and tell it to settle down,” Elephant Shell is the sound of four early-20-somethings now seasoned through hundreds of shows from tiny clubs to the festival throngs at Coachella and Glastonbury, maturing a bit and learning to temper and modulate their own more varied musical moods. Or maybe Canada’s socialized health care means easier access to generic Ritalin and Adderall?
Either way, Elephant Shell delivers on every bit of promise in Tokyo Police Club’s rapid-fire barrage of material to date. The opening one-two of “Centennial” and “In A Cave” barely evaporates before “Graves” and “Juno” pack innumerable hooks and “what-does-that-remind-me-of” glimmers into meager 2-minute-and-change frameworks, while “Tessellate” and “Sixties Remake” encapsulate everything great about the manic TPC live experience: soaring guitar signatures and keyboard figures, driving backbeats and irresistible singalongs abound. Elsewhere, “The Harrowing Adventures Of…” and the down tempo standout “Listen To The Math” find our young protagonists ably adapting their energy into more subdued structures before the rousing coda of “The Baskervilles” brings the record to an all-too-early halt.

Well I guess it isn’t that secret anymore… but anyways, Sir Paul is playing a show at the Highline Ballroom in New York City on Wednesday June 13th to celebrate the release of his newest solo record Memory Almost Full. Here’s the deal, there are a limited number of free wristbands available on the day of the concert at the venue starting at 12.30pm. I would assume you’ll have to be there a wee bit earlier than that to secure a wristband, but maybe that depends on how secret this show is! (or how wide reaching SoundMojo is! Ha!).
Anyways, I’m sure it would be a trip to see McCartney in a smaller venue, so if you’re in NYC why not give it a shot.
Also note that 5 pairs of tickets are being given away via www.PaulMcCartney.com .
