Them Crooked Vultures recently announced its first ever shows in California and the Pacific Northwest: November 17 at the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, November 19 at the Fox Theater in Oakland, November 21 at the Paramount Theater in Seattle, and November 22 at the Roseland Theater in Portland.The dates expand an itinerary that already includes a December tour of the UK and Europe and January dates in Australia and New Zealand.

Dave Grohl, Joshua Homme and John Paul Jones - aka Them Crooked Vultures - have confirmed November 17 as the release date of their eponymous debut album in the United States and Canada on DGC/Interscope Records. The self-produced 13-song record will feature first single “New Fang” as well as the debut of the studio versions of the material Them Crooked Vultures unveiled at their August 9 debut at Chicago’s Cabaret Metro and played on a first series of shows throughout a handful of UK and European cities and portions of the eastern U.S.
A string of teaser videos have also been released by the band in anticipation for the November 17 release. With a new Greatest Hits on the way Foo Fighters have recorded a couple of new tunes. The first one available for listening is “Wheels”, a Tom Petty-esque mid tempo rocker that has radio hit all over it. In terms of radio success and song quality, Dave Grohl and his bandmates have been the most consistent band of the last 10 years. Here’s hoping they continue to be the exception to the rule and lead kids away from Nickleback and towards better taste in music, check out the new tune:
This is awesome… Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones join the Foo Fighters for 2 songs, Rock and Roll, and Ramble On. Jimmy also hinted that the reunion tour would probably happen in 2009 when all the band members tie up other projects… sweet.
Foo Fighters continue to impress with their live show. Nice touch with the orchestra:
The version I have posted below is the second video Foo Fighters have released for this song. While the first one was pretty good this one is just hilarious. The format is the simply the band dressed up, playing to a crowd of screaming female fans, and while this is really nothing new, its the way Dave Grohl sells it that makes this video worth it. He hams it up so much that you almost can’t believe it. Some of his dance moves had me laughing out loud. Well done:
