U2’s 360 tour officially kicked off this week in Barcelona, Spain in front of a crowd of thousands. Prior to embarking on their World tour, the band played a string of intimate club dates including a stop at the historic Sommerville Theatre which lies just outside of Boston. With an audience of hundreds, rather than thousands, U2 rocked No Line On The Horizon’s first single “Get On Your Boots”:
U2 should have got Justice to produce their latest album. In this remix “Get On Your Boots” is transformed from an admittedly boring single to a unique and complex tune that is far better than the original! Check it out at Stereogum:

This will be the first time that a musical guest will perform an entire week on the CBS late night broadcast.
The band will release their 12th album, No Line on the Horizon, March 3. They performed their first single off the album, “Get On Your Boots” at the 51st Annual GRAMMY Awards last weekend, and the song is already climbing the music charts.

The video for U2’s new single, “Get On Your Boots”, is premiering today
“Get On Your Boots” has been directed by French film maker and artist Alex Courtes. Alex and former creative partner Martin Fougeral directed the Grammy winning video for “Vertigo”, and also directed the video for “City of Blinding Lights”.
The video was shot in London and features the band performing against complex graphic art designed by Courtes.
Speaking of the song and the video, The Edge has said, “It’s based around the idea that men have f**ked things up so badly, politically, economically and socially, that it’s really time we handed things over to women. The finished video is brilliant. He’s really nailed it.”
“Get On Your Boots” is the first single from U2’s 12th studio album No Line On The Horizon, out 2nd March 2009.
Not sure about this album art… but I am very curious to hear this new album. The first single will hit the internet January 19th.
