Fuse welcomes you to an exclusive look at this year’s highly-anticipated, star-studded Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, airing live from Cleveland Ohio’s Public Hall on April 4th at 9pm ET/PT. Watch as a chosen few of music’s most legendary acts including Metallica and Run-D.M.C. join fellow rock legends in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
As the exclusive television partner, Fuse is the only place to get a front row seat to the induction ceremony live from Cleveland. The four hour show will carry on the tradition of recognizing the accomplishments of this year’s inductees through live performances and top name presenters who come together to celebrate the history of rock and roll. The presenters and nominees for induction at this year’s ceremony include Flea inducting Metallica, Eminem inducting Run-D.M.C., Jimmy Page inducting Jeff Beck, Smokey Robinson inducting Little Anthony and the Imperials and Rolling Stone’s Ron Wood inducting Bobby Womack.
To shake things up this year, Fuse hosts Steven Smith and Jared Cotter will provide commentary during the show on the significance of each inductee and the induction process – giving Fuse viewers a visual lesson on the Rock Hall and a chance to experience the acts that influenced some of their favorite artists: bridging the gap between the old and new school.
Going beyond the linear network, log on to fuse.tv to vote for the greatest rock band of all time and then enter to win the entire Metallica catalogue signed by members of the band. Fuse is also using the latest in mobile technology to keep its audience entertained and connected. Fans can receive Twitter updates from the ceremony and excerpts from Fuse originals “Kings of Rock featuring Run-D.M.C.” and “Metallica: In Their Own Words” as well as other Rock Hall related material throughout March and April courtesy of Joost.com.
Fuse’s “Rock Madness” Challenge:
Lars seems to be mellowing with age… The old Lars would flip out and try to sue somebody immediately, but apparently Death Magnetic has leaked 8 whole days before the actual street release date, and he’s cool with it? Here’s what he has to say:
”Listen, we’re ten days from release,” he told US radio station Live 105.
“I mean, from here, we’re golden,” he added. “If this thing leaks all over the world today or tomorrow, happy days. Happy days. Trust me. Ten days out and it hasn’t quote-unquote fallen off the truck yet? Everybody’s happy. It’s 2008 and it’s part of how it is these days, so it’s fine. We’re happy.”

Alright, sure Lars… now just pray that it sells.
For the first video off the upcoming Death Magnetic this is an interesting choice. Not exactly what you’d expect, but it’s interesting nonetheless. The video is directed by Thomas Vinterberg, check it out below:
Metallica just released the second single off their upcoming album, Death Magnetic today. Entitled “My Apocalypse,” the track is now available for download on iTunes. Metallica fans should also check out iTunes where you can also purchase the track “The Day That Never Comes” which premiered last week.
Death Magnetic will be available everywhere on September 12th.
I liked “The Day That Never Comes” on my first listen, but this song sounds even more awesome live. Hetfield and Hammet doubling guitar lines in an extended soloing intelude is sure to make any fan wet themselves in excitement:
Here’s your chance to hear the first studio recording from Metallica’s new Death Magnetic album. The song is called “The Day That Never Comes” and its pretty good. Some familiar clean verse guitar lines contrasted with heavy choruses and extended solo sections. At times it sounds like some of their other songs, and its not a new formula, but dammit, its a great formula and its good to hear them ripping again, especially the last 2 minutes of the song. Or buy it from iTunes

Here is the first look at new Metallica music. The album, Death Magnetic, is apparently through the mixing stage and the band “could not contain themselves any longer”. On first impression it sounds a lot more like old Metallica than we’ve seen in recent years, which is very promising. Can’t wait to hear the entire album, check out “Cyanide”:
From Chartattack.com:
The complete track list for Metallica’s much-anticipated Death Magnetic has finally been confirmed. The Rick Rubin-produced follow-up to 2003’s St. Anger will be released on Sept. 23 through Warner Bros. Records.
The album includes “The Unforgiven III,” a sequel to “The Unforgiven” from 1991’s self-titled effort (a.k.a. the Black Album) and “The Unforgiven II” from 1997’s Reload.
All the songs from Death Magnetic will be playable on Guitar Hero III and Guitar Hero World Tour.
A special edition of the album will come in a coffin-shaped box and include the normal CD, a CD with demos of the songs, a DVD of “making of the album” footage, an exclusive T-shirt, a flag, guitar picks, a fold-out poster and a credit card embossed with a code to redeem a free download of a European show in September.
Metallica covered “Remember Tomorrow” from Iron Maiden’s self-titled first album on Kerrang! magazine’s Maiden Heaven: A Tribute To Iron Maiden, which went on sale in the U.K. on July 16. It can be heard, along with a number of live tracks recorded earlier this year, on Metallica’s MySpace page.
A North American tour is planned for the fall.

* “That Was Just Your Life”
* “The End Of The Line”

Wow, this years Bonnaroo had a great lineup. The performances are all over YouTube, but here are a few that I thought were great:
