When asked about the song, front-man Norman Matthews called it, “Heavy, killer, hook laden guitars with a huge chorus. For me, the song is about people only seeing on the surface, not digging deeper to find out what is really going on with someone. A lot of times we mask our true feelings, but deep inside we are an ocean unto ourselves, deeps seas of emotions longing for someone or something to dig deep and save you.”

Never Enough frontman Norman Matthew, who previously fronted Texas based LYLAH, has posted a blog on the group’s MySpace page discussing the recording of Never Enough’s Corporate Punishment debut, which also features Eighteen Visions’ guitarist Keith Barney (ex-Throwdown) and drummer Trevor Friedrich.
“Trevor Friedrich and I had kept in touch from tour, since both LYLAH and Eighteen Visions were on WARPED TOUR together. We had kept in touch and I was always inviting Trevor to our shows when we played in LA and when they came through El Paso, TX on the LOST PROPHETS tour and we all hung out, I was showing them some of my new material and Trevor texted me saying I had an amazing voice after I had sent him some tracks I was writing.”
“Fast forward about 6 months later and I was actually doing some production work and meetings in LA, writing a new LYLAH record and just kind of trying to take my music to another level. I had just left a studio and was heading back to Texas and before I got in the car I saw I had a couple text messages from Trevor saying he wanted to talk to me about a project he and Keith had and said he had given Keith my number, which was totally amazing to me because I was a huge Eighteen Visions fan. We talked and they sent me some tracks to sing over. Those first two songs became ‘On Sunday’ and ‘I Want It All’ on the record.”
“We knew we had something special, so I kept coming to Cali every couple of weeks and had shown some of the stuff to friends of mine in the industry. I had sent Thom Hazaert of Corporate Punishment a demo version of what has now become our debut single ‘To The Bottom’ and he was totally into it and emailed expressing his interest in putting out a record and it just kind of took off from there. Eighteen Visions were at their peak and LYLAH had a very strong underground following, so the interest in the band caught on pretty quick and what was even better was the fact we were all excited about the music we were writing, because it was fresh, exciting again.”
Never Enough will release their debut album in North America (United States/ Canada) on November 20th, 2007 on Corporate Punishment Records. Fans can preview material from their forthcoming debut at www.myspace.com/Never3nough
