AFI’s forthcoming CRASH LOVE will receive an exclusive first airing in its entirety on MySpace (www.myspace.com/afi) on September 22 and 23. The full album will also be up for listening at the band’s own www.afireinside.net site a day later.
CRASH LOVE will be released September 29 on DGC/Interscope. First single “Medicate,” for which the band is currently shooting a video, is already available on iTunes both as a single download and as part of an 18-song CRASH LOVE deluxe edition featuring multiple bonus tracks both from the CRASH LOVE sessions and the AFI vaults.
AFI recently added another leg of dates to its first series of live shows in the U.S. since its July 7, 2007 Live Earth appearance. The tour commences October 2 in Minneapolis with additional dates running up through a November 22 appearance at Stubbs Amphitheater in Austin, TX.
Produced by Joe McGrath and Jacknife Lee, CRASH LOVE is AFI’s eighth album and arguably the band’s most focused, direct and ambitious effort to date. CRASH LOVE follows up two consecutive platinum AFI albums, 2006’s DECEMBERUNDERGROUND which entered the U.S. chart at #1 and 2003’s SING THE SORROW.

On Tuesday, July 21st, MySpace Music and Casablanca/Universal Republic Records will unveil the first single and title track from British singing sensation MIKA’s new album, WE ARE GOLDEN. The lavish new single will be streamed exclusively for 24 hours only, beginning 9:00 AM EST and will be featured on the MySpace homepage as well as Mika’s MySpace profile.
The acclaimed Mika - who has drawn comparisons to Hall of Fame caliber showman such as Freddie Mercury and Elton John – enjoys a global following thanks to his colorful musical repertoire, cathartic stage-presence, and multi-platform connectivity of his dazzling 2007 debut album, Life In Cartoon Motion. No Line On The Horizon is the group’s highly anticipated 12th studio album and their first release since How to Dismantle An Atomic Bomb came out in late 2004. Recording sessions for No Line On The Horizon were held in various locations around the world, including Fez, Morocco, the band’s own studio in Dublin, New York’s Platinum Sound Recording Studios, and Olympic Studios in London.
