Hailing from Chicago, The White Tie Affair is a band of many influences. While best described as a pop group, the band is clearly powered by a variety of musical inspirations. Current rock, old punk, and older funk are just a few of the sounds you might hear in any one of their songs. The combined result is a sound infused with energy, personality and dance-rock sensibility. You may have heard this sound when the band performed on an episode of the hit MTV show The Hills. In this video, WatchMojo.com had a chance to chat with the band:

USMagazine.com is giving fans the first listen of Heidi Montag’s latest single “Higher” today with a full track stream on their website. “Higher” shows a softer side of The Hills star, taking a turn away from the dance-floor territory of previous singles “Body Language” and “Touch Me” towards the realm of the pop ballad with an uplifting message. “The past is the past and you don’t have one moment to look back,” Heidi states. “You create your life and what happens. I wanted to portray this message and energy in my song and hopefully give people the same feeling. My album is about living life every moment and having fun.”
The single, produced by Theron Feemster (Nelly, Mary J. Blige), will be available in iTunes starting Tuesday, February 5th and will be accompanied by a video directed by Montag’s boyfriend Spencer Pratt. All additional major digital music retailers will have “Higher” for sale starting February 26th.
In addition, Heidi chatted with Myspace Celebrity about “Higher,” her future plans, and the biggest misconception people have of her. Visit Myspace Celebrity’s Q&A to read the entire exchange.
