Cursive has now debuted the video for single “From The Hips” online, on the heels of their rousing network TV debut March 13th on the Late Show with David Letterman, which moved Stereogum to write “The Omaha outfit summoned an air of electricity from the sparse jags and soaring climax of Mama I’m Swollen’s lead single…As of now, Cursive is on fire.”  See below for the Michael Grodner-directed video, which premiered on MySpace last Friday.  Meanwhile, the band’s new album Mama, I’m Swollen continues to garner media attention, with Alternative Press calling it “jam-packed” with “potentially life-changing songs” and The Onion praising it as “full of volatility” and “dynamic instrumentation.”

MySpace Music has just premiered the video for “The Night” from hard-rock titans DISTURBED. The band enlisted director Noble Jones (3 Doors Down, Jack’s Mannequin) this time out and the clip’s stark imagery is fitting for the track’s dark guitar tones and brooding vocal melodies. Jones looked to classic sci-fi/horror movies like Alien and John Carpenter’s The Thing for inspiration and the results are haunting.

“The Night” comes off Indestructible, Disturbed’s Gold certified fourth studio album. Continuing their exhaustive touring in support of the album, the band is currently headlining the “Music Is A Weapon” tour which runs through June. Check out all of the Disturbed’s tour dates here.

Hollywood hair metal dreamers Steel Panther have launched an all out attack on the pop mainstream with their newest video “Death to All But Metal”. Asserting their alpha male dominance with plenty of hairspray, spandex, and sick stage moves, Steel Panther have taken shots against anyone NOT flying the hair metal flag. Kanye West, Madonna, and 50-Cent are among the superstars targeted by lead singer Michael Starr’s wrath in the clip.

“Death to All But Metal” is an homage to Van Halen’s classic “Hot For Teacher” video and also features a cameo by smart mouth comedienne Sarah Silverman as the school principal.

Steel Panther’s new album, Feel The Steel, hits stores on 6/9.  Check out Steel Panther’s new video for “Death To All But Metal” below:
