Dead Man’s Bones is not a new movie for Ryan Gosling, but a curious new musical side project that really doesn’t sound like any A-list(B+ list?) Hollywood actor’s band that you’ve ever heard before. This is no vanity project where the actor is living our his rock star dreams with a crappy band (Keanu?), but more like a creative art project that is dark, interesting and entirely unexpected. Recent live shows have featured local choir ensembles made up of children and the first video they’ve created is as bizarre as it gets. Full marks to Gosling and his bandmate Zach Shields for creating something different, strange and enjoyable.
