I straighten my curly hair every morning…except for the summer I spent in Europe. I had remembered to pack my straightener, but I packed the wrong adapter.

Located in New England, Salem is a city in the American state of Massachusetts. The city is now famous as the site of the Salem Witch Trials of 1692. Its label as one of the United States’ most unique cities is in part due to its history of multiculturalism that permeates every aspect of life there. New Orleans is found on the banks of the Mississippi River, and there is a large portion of the city which is found below sea level. The city’s unique location was a liability when Hurricane Katrina struck in August 2005. The Big Easy was ravaged by the storm, but has since rebuilt and is again a popular destination for tourists. Mr. Bumble, a pet skunk has been put on a crash diet after ballooning to double his size due to enjoying two bacon sandwiches a day.

Mr Bumble tips the scales at nearly 15lbs - twice his recommended weight. The North American skunk is being cared for at the Tropiquaria Zoo at Washford Cross where they are working on brining Mr. Bumble down to 7lbs.

The park pwner Chris Moiser said,
“He’s a very sociable little creature and loves all the attention being lavished on him here.
‘He’s on a vegetarian diet at the moment. It’s very much like a human weight watching issue with plenty of exercise.”

The culture of the Netherlands differs from region to region, but it is well-known that the Dutch people showcase a willingness to adopt certain characteristics of exotic cultures, while preserving their own identity. Traditional to the culture of the Netherlands are tulips and sweeping flower gardens, windmills, blue and white pottery called Delftware, and wooden craft work such as clogs or boats.
