TMZ.com, the site famous for breaking the Mel Gibson drunk-driving, Jew-hating story, is now reporting that Michael Richards beat Gibson to the punch by making flagrantly anti-Semitic comments during a stand-up apperance last spring.

Also, the disgraced ex-Seinfeld star has reportedly already phoned civil rights leaders such as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson asking for forgiveness. Said Howard Rubenstein, his publicist, “He’s appalled at what he did and wants to start the healing process.”
