I’m a huge Paul Rudd fan so I thought I’d give his new movie Diggers a plug. It’s set in a small town in the late 70’s and looks like a great period piece. Read on for links to the trailer and a synopsis…

Synopsis:

A funny, heartfelt 70s era period piece set in the still-unspoiled Hamptons area of Long Island, DIGGERS is the story of two generations of hard-living clam diggers trying to maintain their way of life in the midst of the enormous changes swirling around them.  Katherine Dieckmann is a New York based filmmaker, journalist and critic.  Her directorial debut, “A Good Baby,” was released in 2000 by Curb Entertainment and starred Henry Thomas, David Strathairn and Cara Seymour.  Dieckmann has also directed numerous music videos for such acts as R.E.M., Aimee Mann, Indigo Girls, Wilco and more, and has written about film, music and books for such publications as The New York Times and The Village Voice.
