World Press Photos Of The Year
The World Press Photo traveling exhibit showcases the best in photojournalism from the previous year. Photos in 2009’s exhibit showcase events from 2008: Topics such as the Beijing Olympics, China’s earthquake and the conflict between Georgia and South Ossetia were popular topics for submitted photos. Another popular subject was the economic crisis resulted in the year’s winning photo by Anthony Suau, who took a unique angle on the event.
