
I’ve seen pictures of exotic buffet lines, filled with bugs and snakes on sticks, dog part soup and other things not traditionally eaten in my culture. I tried to remain neutral, since I truly believe that every culture should be allowed to believe and eat what they wish.
So when I stumbled on this list of Bizarre Food Festivals, I automatically assumed it was more of the same. When I read the list, I was surprised to see that all of these festivals take place in the United States.
While I might actually consider checking out Gilroy, California’s garlic festival, or the Waikiki Spam Jam, most of the festivals on this list are pretty bizarre. Which is weirder: The turkey testicle festival, or the road-kill cook-off? I’ll let you be the judge…
