First they announced they’d be playing 5 shows in London, their first in a few years. They sold out in 2 minutes. Then on Monday they announced they’d be playing 5 dates in good ol’ Montreal…and, they sold out in 2 minutes again. They went on sale at 900am Wednesday morning and when I got to work and tried to buy tickets online at 945am tickets were long gone. What a shame. You don’t think it would be that hard for a fan of the band to catch them in their hometown. Especially when there are 5 different nights!? I guess thats what we can expect when the biggest indie band on the planet chooses a venue called “Ukranian Federation” to perform in. I’m sure its decent in size… but why not play 5 dates at the much bigger Metropolis and give everyone a chance to see them?
Anyways, I’m sure I could have put in more effort than just trying online… but its a wednesday, and I just dont have that kind of time in the morning.
