A few weeks ago, the Jackhammer told me about some rumors sending Canadiens Defenseman Sheldon Souray to Detroit for Center Pavel Datsyuk. On the surface, I said I’d go for it. Mind you, I had visions of this on my mind.
That being said, I was wrong. Between Samsonov, Plekanec, Perezhogin, et al., we have enough flashy and talented players. Souray, however has proven to flash, dazzle and remain a pillar. This year he has been nothing short of spectacular.
I am very bullish on rookie coach seasons for the Habs (Perron in 86 and Demers in 93 anyone?), trade Souray, and you might as well cancel the Parade come June.
