This is weird:
Myriam Bedard’s father says he is worried about his daughter who is the subject of a Canada-wide warrant on suspicion of abducting her daughter.
Pierre Bedard says it is unlike his daughter not to be in regular touch.
Bedard says the former Olympic champion has always protected her 11-year-old daughter.
Quebec City police Const. Jean-Sebastien Roy says the warrant was issued Dec. 8 after a complaint by the child’s biological father.
He says police are treating the case as an abduction in that she has violated the terms of her shared-custody agreement with the biological father.
Myriam Bedard is believed to be in the United States with her current husband and the girl.
