It has been a minute since you heard from Idlewild. Taking stock and putting importance on making a good record, they’ve exceeded expectations. And how many bands can you say that about?

No Emotionis Idlewild’s new single from their sixth album – and first for Sanctuary - MAKE ANOTHER WORLD, released digitally March 6th, 2007 and in stores April 3rd, 2007 .   After a quick trip to Japan at the start of March, the band head out on an 11 date UK tour.

MAKE ANOTHER WORLD was recorded last year in Edinburgh with producer Dave Eringa, who the band worked with on some of their earlier recordings including 100 Broken Windows and The Remote Part. The new album was previewed with a limited edition single in Europe, “If It Takes You Home,” in December ’06 to coincide with a short sold out club tour to give fans a taster of the new record.  Described in the NME as a “virulent gut-punch of a comeback …a Pixies-flecked ramalama rock blastathon”  the track reminded people of the harder, rockier side of the band, which was  not as prevalent on 2005’s release Warnings/Promises, but certainly familiar to anybody with a knowledge of the bands full catalogue.
