Yet another indie buzz band out of Montreal, Plants and Animals are the real deal. Essentially a 3 piece folk-rock band, Plants and Animals builds off of that sound with lush arrangements and big sounding instruments that will simultaneously purr and burst from your speakers. The bands sound has echo’s of fellow Montrealers’ Arcade Fire and Patrick Watson, but also creates a unique and exciting sound all their own. Their new album is called Parc Avenue after the street in Montreal where the band lives and the music was recorded and the song I’ve included here is a great representation of what to expect with this band, which is nothing you’d expect.
