The Woodstock Music and Arts Fair was a defining moment for a generation, as well as for music. The Who, Joan Baez, Joe Cocker, CSNY, and many, many more graced the Woodstock stage in 1969. Unfortunately, two of the festival's stars would be dead a little more than a year later: both Janis Joplin and Jimi Hendrix passed away in late 1970.
