Since 2004, Canadians have voted in three federal elections, with the threat of the next one seemingly always looming. The two most recent elections resulted in minority Conservative governments. Minority governments are notoriously unstable and unable to get much done without the threat of being toppled, and therefore Canadians are becoming bored by the constant push-pull between parties.
