In true O'Neill Cold Water Classic Series style, the final day of competition is blessed with offshore winds and pumping waves at Thurso East. In an all-goofy semi, it is Royden Bryson (ZAF) who defeats Shaun Cansdell (AUS) to be the first in the final. The second semi-finale is an all-Brazilian affair, with Yuri Sodre versus Raoni Monteiro. Yuri Sodre dominates the heat and moves through to the final. After 6 days of competition with unique and changing weather conditions from sunny, howling winds, pouring rain to even snow, it all comes down to 2 surfers: Royden Bryson (ZAF) and Yuri Sodre (BRA). They fight it out for the most prestigious trophy in competitive surfing – the highland sword.
