Originally formed in 1983, Megadeth is a heavy metal band out of Los Angeles, California. Considered pioneers in the world of thrash and speed metal, the band's contributions to the genre are undeniable. They've seen a number of lineup changes, and officially called it quits in 2002. However, by 2004 they'd gotten back together and in 2010 original bassist David Ellefson had rejoined the band.
