Why Mia Farrow Declares Hunger Strike for Darfur Mia Farrow, is an accomplished actress but she is also notable for her extensive humanitarian work as a U.N.I.C.E.F. Goodwill Ambassador. In this video we learn that far from being a casual activist, she is a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador who has traveled Darfur to highlight the plight of women and children there, pleading for world leaders to take more decisive action against poverty and injustice. She is going on a hunger strike to raise awareness of the humanitarian crisis in Darfur.
