Avalanche Studios is cutting 77 people from their staff after losing two publishing contracts over the last year.  Avalanche is responsible for such titles as Just Cause and its upcoming sequel.  Fortunately for consumers, the team does not seem to be letting the setback affect their future plans.  Read more…

Electronic Arts is now partnering with director Zack Snyder. Snyder, who helped make the hits “300″ and “Dawn of the Dead,” will be helping to design new games for the video game publisher. And these games will likely eventually become movies, again with the help of Snyder. Read more…
