As mentioned earlier this week, have to do a business plan for someone… anyway, started at 1pm, it’s now 2pm, 15 pages done…
Will keep you posted.
UPDATE #1: It’s now 3pm, and we’re at some 33 pages. I will scale it down to be less than 25 pages, but just gathering all the info I had posted over the past year on this blog that I knew would come in handy.
UPDATE #2: It’s now 4:20pm, sorry, I am late by 20 minutes… I was making such good progress that I paused a bit to check out YouTube and listen to some music. Good ol’ fashion piracted music. Anyway, incicentally, speaking of YouTube, turns out they will start paying content owners. Which is a good thing, cause WatchMojo.com, for whom I am writing a business plan as we speak/type/listen has 4,000 original video clips for which we own the rights to… we only have 300 up on YouTube and these have been seen over 1.25M times (on Youtube and Google Video combined). They just gave us an incentive to add more content to their site, provided the amount is material. Of course, it’s worth noting that this is why I think business plans are pretty useless for this industry. In 2 hours, the model changed. Oh, and if you are counting, we’re now at 38 pages, but it’s downhill from here… I am now in editing mode, making it nice and tidy, etc.
UPDATE #3: 5pm, 46 pages. Eventually, there will be 25 pages. Promise… and it will look much better than 5 pounds of meat in a 2 pound bag. I think it Mojo Supreme does not succeed (it will) I could set up a business of writing business plans in my spare time. The document looks good, but I am biased, the company looks good: I guess taking a step back, it hits home that we’re basically a diversified digital media and technology company, capable of offering advertisers all forms of online advertising formats: video, search, display, listings, classifieds etc., across different categories: auto, health, film, music, travel, etc.
All right, must.reduce.pages. Back to work.
