Just a follow up on my Private Little American Idol experiment.

Click here for the introduction/Part 1: about 100 companies compete to pitch to a group of investors.

We were 93 companies, then 20 were chosen to pitch to the judges.

I got there at 1pm, I was the last one to pitch at 10pm.  Nine hours later, I did my four-minute presentation.

The next day I found out: Mojo Supreme was selected to make it to the Top 10.  That was nice.  I forgot about it but this week I got a reminder: March 5th is the next big day.  Monday at 11:40am EST, I am pitching to a room of 300 investors.

Win or lose, that is one helluv’an audience.  When we got the two buyout offers a couple of weeks ago, I remember thinking that there was so much value-creation ahead of us, and opportunities like this were just one of the many things I was thinking about.

The timing is both perfect and ironic.  The tremendous spike in perceived value in original video content has changed things quite a bit: no longer are investors rushing to finance platforms to host and share videos, now it’s the content, by the looks of it.  So in addition to the room full of 300 investors we have a handful of people we’re looking to partner up with.

I had told myself that I’d like to know who I can count on by March 31st.  I think I will stick to that deadline because 2007 is starting to look huge and I don’t want to waste any time.

Booyah!
