Top 10 Most Disgraceful Anime

Top 10 Most Disgraceful Anime
VOICE OVER: JB WRITTEN BY: Mark Sammut
Written by Mark Sammut

These are the shows that give anime a bad reputation. Welcome to WatchMojo.com and today we'll be counting down our picks for the Top 10 Most Disgraceful Anime.
For this list, we're looking at series which took it so far beyond the realms of acceptance that they entered an alternate reality. It is less about the explored themes and more on how they decide to tackle them. Also, just to keep things interesting, we'll ignore any hentai shows.

Special thanks to our user Ashjbow for submitting the idea on our interactive suggestion tool: WatchMojo.comsuggest

#10: “Super Lovers” (2016-17)

Top 10 Dragon Ball Super Super Hero Moments

Japan, we should talk about your interpretation of brotherly love. With a title like Super Lovers, one would assume that it is about two passionate adults, or teenagers, who go on a wild adventure in the pursuit of love. And, to be fair, it totally is – except the lovers are Ren, an underage boy, and Haru, a grown ass man who also happen to be step brothers. What makes it worse is that Studio Deen's anime actually works as a coming of age story about two individuals struggling with their identity but changes tone whenever Haru decides to get his freak on.

#9: “HenSemi” (2011)

College is a time for experimentation and broadening one's mind. In that sense; HenSemi, an anime about students attending a research seminar that explores human behavior, could actually be considered educational. Then they get to the episode where one of the characters experiences being a body table. If that phrase means nothing to you, try to avoid doing a google search while at work - Trust us. HenSemi translates to Hentai Seiri Seminar, and although it keeps nudity to a minimum, its main concept is to show how every 'innocent' woman is actually a pervert.

#8: “I Don't Like You at All, Big Brother!!” (2011)

Top 10 WORST Harem Anime of All Time

A tsundere title about incest? Oh, splendid. Everything about I Don't Like You at All, Big Brother!!! is disgusting, from the unnerving character designs to the repugnant story and insulting excuse for humor. Nao is desperate to get it on with Shuusuke, her perverted big brother, who refuses to go down that route. A true trooper; Nao breaks into his room to get rid of his non-incest porn but stumbles upon Shuusuke's old picture book. To her surprise, she is completely absent and ends up discovering that they are not related by blood. Finally, there is nothing stopping these crazy kids from going the distance.

#7: “Queen's Blade” (2009-16)

This isn't cheating, Queen's Blade is NOT a hentai. It just aspires to be one. Using a slightly different political system to Britain, every four years a Queen is chosen via a survival tournament. This leads to a large cast of formidable, and well-endowed, warriors making the journey to the continent's capital, Gainos, to challenge the current Queen. Armed with huge weapons and coated in armor more suited for a swimsuit catalog rather than a fight to the death, every swing of the sword tends to take a piece of clothing with it.

#6: “Aki-Sora” (2009-10)

Top 10 Anime We Can't Believe Made it to Public TV

If there is one positive aspect about this anime it’s that they’re fully committed. Aki and Sora are full blooded siblings. No half-brother bullshit here, this is full on incest with a capital I. What more is there to say, really? Spread over three episodes, Aki-Sora's story – if you can call it that – centers on high school student Sora, who fantasizes about getting it on with his busty older sister. Spoiler warning! He gets it on with his busty older sister. What pushes it over the line is Sora's character design, as he resembles more an 11-year-old kid than someone in high school.

#5: “Kiss x Sis” (2008-15)

An anime with an infamous reputation, this is another one dealing with incestuous feelings between siblings. After his father remarries, Keita suddenly ends up with twin stepsisters – Ako and Riko, who instantly fall in love with their brother. Actually, love is not the correct word, as Kiss x Sis's main theme is uncontrollable lust. It is not quite clear whether the two horny girls love their brother as a person or they're turned on by the idea of being involved in a taboo relationship. Also, their parents are completely cool with the idea.

#4: “Papa to Kiss in the Dark” (2005)

Finally, an entry that's not about a brother and sister getting it on! No, this time it's a father and son. Munakata Kyousuke is a famous actor who has every woman in Japan lusting after him. Unknown to the public, Kyousuke's sexual needs are already well satisfied by his 15-year-old son. Unfortunately, their family-friendly romance is shattered when non-blood related humans start to get involved. Kyousuke might end up marrying an actress, and the son, Mira, is being courted by one of his friends.

#3: “School Days” (2007)

Top 20 High School Romance Anime

Makoto Itou is kind of a dick. Scratch that, he’s a complete and utter sociopath who has no problem jumping from girl to girl, taking no consideration of the mess left in his wake. School Days is a dark and twisted alternative to a typical harem, where one male character is the subject of interest of a variety of girls. In this case, the charisma black hole otherwise known as Makoto is that focal point. The notorious series spends all of its time torturing its characters before going out with a hilariously over-the-top gore fest that threatens to be almost brilliant. But it's not.

#2: “Yosuga no Sora” (2010)

After the tragic death of their parents, Haruka and Sora decide to return to their hometown to start fresh. Once there, they run into a few old friends, and a harem begins with Haruka smack in the middle. As the siblings try returning to some degree of normality, they also struggle to hide a secret known only to them. Yes, it's incest. Because of course, it is. Yosuga no Sora attempts to tackle the subject from a unique perspective, focusing on whether people should be allowed to decide what is right or wrong. In comparison to similar anime, it is considerably more explicit.

#1: “Kodomo No Jikan” (2007-11)

Good news; this has nothing to do with incest. Bad news; it's about a seven-year-old girl blackmailing her teacher because she wants to have sex with him. Aoki-Sensei is off to a rough start with his 3rd-grade class, but a kind gesture puts him in Rin Kokonoe's good books. And things get weird from there. Kodomo No Jikan is not a dumb anime by any means, as it says some interesting things about children's sexuality, but the overabundance of ecchi comedy scenes certainly make it an uncomfortable sit.

Jeez people, has it ever occurred to you that some anime are meant to be creepy?
Personally I think it should be illegal to romanticize incest of any type in any media
