Originally formed in Massachusetts in 1999 out of the ashes of two other bands, Killswitch Engage is considered one of the forerunners in the metalcore genre. The band has since been through some significant lineup changes, but reliably continued to put out great records. Their most recent effort, a self-titled release, coincided with the band's ten year anniversary.
