Top 10 A Day to Remember Songs

This Florida band will sure give us A Day to Rememeber. Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today we are counting down our picks for Top 10 A Day to Remember Songs.

For this list, we’ve chosen our entries based on a combination of the artist’s fan favorites and their most commercially successful songs.

#10: “2nd Sucks”
What Separates Me From You (2010)

First is great, but how about second, or even tenth? Making its home as the fifth track on the band’s fourth album, “2nd Sucks” is a hard hitting track for all of those believers of competition between band members. With heavy distorted guitars and a signature A Day ToRemember breakdown, “2nd Sucks” grabs a hold of listeners and alters their senses until the track’s last note. For your information, A Day ToRemember is not in a competition, but if they were, they would strive for number one.

#9: “If It Means A Lot To You” feat. Sierra Kusterbeck
Homesick (2009)

Love and friendship can move mountains. Bringing the band’s massively successful Homesick album to a close, “If It Means A Lot To You” tells the story of just how far someone will go to help a friend or a loved one. The track’s creation was actually the most time-consuming on the album, taking over a year to write. How do you end an acclaimed album? With a massive track ready to break down the walls. While most of us have lost hope in humanity, there are still people who do things just for the sake of others.

#8: “Have Faith in Me”
Homesick (2009)

Let’s face it, there are very few people that you can still have faith in. The band’s third single from 2009's Billboard smash Homesick, the track explores the thought of taking care of someone without concern for your own well being. The track quickly became a concert staple anda fan favorite, eventually charting on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart at number forty. It just shows that having faith in someone can actually pay off... well most of the time.

#7: “Right Back At It Again”

A Day To Remember is “Right Back At It Again” with our next entry. The first single from the band’s fifth album, “Right Back At It Again” shows that the band won’t let a lawsuit hold them back. After winning a vigorous lawsuit against Victory Records, the band was able to dive back into their roots with their metalcore style. This pop-punk anthem gives fans the common courtesy of rocking out to their fullest. Surprisingly considering its chart success, “Right Back At It Again” was almost not included on the album, as it was see as leftover material. Nice save!

#6: “I’m Made of Wax, Larry, What Are You Made Of?”
Homesick (2009)

Have you ever wanted to go all out for revenge? A Day to Remember has. Despite not being officially released as a single, the track quickly became a fan favorite and one of the standout tracks from Homesick due to its utter chaos and ridiculousness. This is most evident in the music video, as members of the bands brutally destroy a little league kickball team for revenge. The title was lifted as from Ben Stiller’s “Night at the Museum”, which only makes the song even cooler.

#5: “All I Want”
What Separates Me From You (2010)

We want more ideas, but we will settle for a place to call our own. The first single from the band’s fourth album, “All I Want” is an example of just how versatile A Day to Remember really is. Unlike their traditional metalcore style, filled with gut-wrenching screams and shredding guitars, the track takes a much more pop-punk and cleaner approach. While not all fans were accepting at first, “All I Want” eventually became a fan favorite and a concert staple. At least now the band has a place to call their own, in the hearts of their fans.

#4: “You Should Have Killed Me When You Had The Chance”
And Their Name is Treason (2005)

Every band has a standout track from early in their career and A Day To Remember is no exception. While not officially released as a single, “You Should Have Killed Me When You Had The Chance” was among the first tracks the band wrote during their formation. The track shows off the crude yet epic style of the band’s original metalcore style, yet it has a catchy chorus that any metal fan can sing along to. The track was also later included on the album’s re-release, introducing new fans to some old tracks. Now this is how you make an impression.

#3: “All Signs Point to Lauderdale”
What Separates Me From You (2010)

Are you stuck in a rut with nowhere to turn? They know the feeling. The second single from its parent album, “All Signs Point to Lauderdale” explains the feeling of being trapped with nowhere to go, yet at the same time standing up for yourself and making changes. The track ended up being a stand out from the album, providing a softer track that still pays tribute to their original style. It just goes to show that if you need aradio-friendly tune, A Day To Remember can deliver.

#2: “The Plot to Bomb the Panhandle”
For Those Who Have Heart (2007)

Violent feelings can often fuel rage, which in turn can become great music. While it wasn’t officially released as a single, it was one of the first tracks that leaked onto Myspace before the album’s release. The track tackles the painful and negative feelings an individual can have against his lover at the end of a relationship. This is contrary to the following track “Monument”, where vocalist Jeremy McKinnon expresses longing and positive emotions towards his significant other. Man, love and emotions sure are confusing. Fun fact, this track’s music video features none other than adult film star Ron Jeremy. Why? Why not?

Homesick (2009)

Humanity is in a downward spiral. The second single from the fan and critic acclaimed third effort, “The Downfall of Us All” tells listeners of the pains and high standards that songwriting is held up to when you are famous. The track quickly became the concert closer, often due to it’s energetic live performances. The track also serves as a gateway for fans, often being the first track in their introduction to A Day toRemember. In 2014, the track received gold certification from the RIAA. Humanity might not be doomed after all.
