Top 10 Most Wanted Characters From Once Upon A Time

In Storybrooke, new characters are always more than welcome. Welcome to MsMojo and today we’ll be counting down the Top 10 Most Wanted Characters From Once Upon A Time.
For this list, we’re looking at the characters we most want to see join the extended universe of this modern fairytale adaptation.

#10: Flora, Fauna & Merryweather

Even though Sleeping Beauty has been a character on the series before, we’ve never gotten a chance to spend much time with this fabulous trio. Flora, Fauna and Merryweather have playful interactions even when they bicker, and would bring that energy and their magical knowledge to any storyline. They were clever enough to thwart Maleficent, so we could see that coming in handy with any evil foe. The three fairies are underrated Disney characters in general, so it would be nice to see them get a little more time in the spotlight.

#9: Captain Jack Sparrow & The Pirates of the Caribbean

It became clear that “Once Upon A Time” loves a good pirate tale when they included the Peter Pan storyline and added Hook as a main character, so it seems like Captain Jack Sparrow and the Pirates of the Caribbean would be a fantastic addition too. Jack’s somewhat cowardly nature, penchant for booze and women, and his witty retorts would bring levity to some of the more serious plotlines. It would be interesting to see how Captain Jack would get along with Hook - but knowing Jack, they’ve probably already had a run-in in the past.

#8: Princess Giselle

Princess Giselle is no stranger to straddling real world and the world of fiction, so that experience would serve her well on the series. A villain might try to take advantage of her because of her optimism and read it as naiveté, but Giselle is resilient and able to the make the best of a tough situation. We’re guessing this would make her an asset, not a liability, in the topsy-turvy world of Storybrooke. Her comedic timing is also something we’d love to see more of on the show.

#7: Yzma

Yzma is a delightful villain who doesn’t get nearly enough credit. As Kuzco’s opponent for the throne, Yzma proved that she could be cunning, deceitful, and utterly charming while destroying lives in order to get what she wants. She’s pretty sassy, which would make her the perfect sparring partner for Regina. Overall, she’s not the most evil villain, but like Rumpelstiltskin we could see her getting the misunderstood character treatment. We’d hope they’d include a henchman for her like Kronk, since she’s at her best when she’s bossing someone else around.

#6: Quasimodo & Esmeralda

As characters from one of the most underrated Disney movies, we’d love to see Quasimodo and Esmeralda gain more recognition by being included on the show. They are a great duo since they’re both terribly misunderstood and marginalized by the society they find themselves in, but their friendship and sense of care for one another is admirable. They make the best out of the worst situations and would be able to set an example for other characters who could learn a thing or two about humility and kindness.

#5: Tarzan & Jane

Tarzan and Jane have to be one of the most dynamic couples in storytelling, so they would be a fantastic fit for this cast. Tarzan is a great action hero, and it would be awesome to see his character translated into the modern world. Jane’s intelligence would be an asset for whomever she aligns herself with, but we could definitely see her befriending Belle. It would also be interesting to see them thrown into a magical world to see how they adapt. But if anyone could fit in, we know these two could pull it off!

#4: Pocahontas

She may be based on a real-life figure, but she’s Disney royalty, so we’d love to see what she could bring to the show. Like Mulan and Merida, Pocahontas is one of the more badass Disney “princesses” and her sense of courage and ability to stand up for her convictions would make her a force to be reckoned with. With her inclusion, the show could bring a bit of Native American folklore into the world, making it more expansive and giving viewers a chance to learn about a piece of history.

#3: Moana & Maui

While they might not be the best fit for new main characters, Disney’s 2016 dynamic duo definitely deserves more time in the spotlight with a featured role on the show. The characters would bring more diversity and offer a different story outside of the traditional fairy tales most of us have grown up with. And it would be so much fun to watch Maui boast about his accomplishments and have Moana put him in his place. They’re a fun pair to watch and their banter would add some humor to this high-stakes world.

#2: Christopher Robin

As the ultimate believer in the fantastical, Christopher Robin would fit right in. His love for Pooh and the gang in the Hundred Acre Wood make him the perfect guy to come to when it’s time for an adventure or when you need someone morally upright on your side. Christopher’s also steadfast and loyal, and the one person who wouldn’t outgrow his childhood sense of wonder. He shares a lot in common with Henry, so the two would be natural allies.

Before we unveil our number one pick, here are a few honorable mentions:

Roger & Anita Radcliffe

Thumbelina & Tom Thumb

Charlie Bucket & Willy Wonka

#1: Mary Poppins

Even though she’s not a traditional fairytale character, can you imagine a better fit than Mary Poppins? We sure can’t! This magical nanny would make a lovely addition given her whimsical nature, kindness, and the fun she brings to any mundane situation. With her bag of tricks and sense of bravery, she’d be an asset in figuring out the new curse. We’d love to see her working with kids on the show or hanging out with some of the fairytale favorites like Princess Tiana or Cinderella. Especially with the 2018 sequel to the classic film, this character is ready to be brought into the modern era.
