Top 10 Hottest Female Celebs of 2019

On fire, in more ways than one. Welcome to WatchMojo and today we’ll be counting down our picks for the Top 10 Hottest Female Celebs of 2019.

For this list, we’re looking at the female celebrities who dominated 2019, focusing on their achievements, successes, and popularity.

#10: Scarlett Johansson

By this point, it is practically a given that every year is going to be owned by Scarlett Johansson. As part of the MCU, Johansson reprised her role as Black Widow for "Avengers: Endgame," which went on to become the highest-grossing film ever. Showing her versatility, she also starred in Taika Waititi’s satirical black comedy “Jojo Rabbit”. However, the actress’ best work arguably came in the powerful "Marriage Story," a movie that delivers heart, drama, and comedy. 2019 reinforced that Johansson is a force to be reckoned with and a proven box office star.

#9: Florence Pugh

Ever since appearing alongside Maisie Williams in 2014's "The Falling," Florence Pugh has been on the verge of breaking out as one of the world's biggest stars. While 2016's "Lady Macbeth" earned the English actress near-universal praise, in 2019 Pugh truly knocked it out of the park with three incredibly diverse roles. Pugh fully embodies the wrestler Paige in "Fighting with My Family"; while the horror movie "Midsommar" showcases her incredibly expressive acting; and "Little Women" finds her in good company alongside Emma Watson, Saoirse Ronan, and Meryl Streep. With an MCU debut on the horizon, it is safe to say that Pugh is not going to cool down anytime soon.

#8: Ana de Armas

The Cuban-Spanish actress has been turning heads for quite a while in Spanish TV and film, so the rest of the world was just catching up when 2017's "Blade Runner 2049" dropped. 2019 was a busy year for Ana de Armas, who appeared in several projects, including "The Informer" and "Wasp Network." However, the actress's most notable movie of the year is "Knives Out," an ensemble piece starring huge names like Daniel Craig, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Chris Evans. If that’s not enough, it was also announced that De Armas would be appearing in the next James Bond film.

#7: Tessa Thompson

With films like "Selma," "Creed," and "Annihilation" on her resume, Tessa Thompson has hardly had a quiet couple of years; however, the incredible actress has been on fire for the entirety of 2019. While Thompson's role was relatively minor in "Avengers: Endgame," the film does set up Valkyrie as a major player for future MCU outings. A lead role in "Men in Black: International" marked Thompson's debut as an A-list action star, even if the movie itself could have been better. As the icing on the cake, Thompson also voiced the titular cocker spaniel in the live-action "Lady and the Tramp" remake.

#6: Zoë Kravitz

Lenny Kravitz and Lisa Bonet's daughter has earned steady work for over a decade, appearing in high-profile blockbusters like "Mad Max: Fury Road" and the "Fantastic Beasts" movies. While those roles were mostly secondary, HBO's "Big Little Lies" offered the screen-time and challenging material for Zoë Kravitz to truly shine, especially towards the tail end of season 2. Kravitz delivered a devastating performance as Bonnie Carlson, and went on to beat out the competition for the role of Catwoman in DC's upcoming "The Batman" movie. At the moment, Kravitz is soaring high, and the star is still on the rise.

#5: Ariana Grande

In 2019's pop world, Ariana Grande's shadow is long indeed. Along with releasing a record-breaking new album, the powerful singer began the year by scoring one huge hit single after another. At one point, Grande was essentially competing with herself on the Billboard Hot 100. A successful tour followed, which also saw Grande deliver an epic show as the headlining act at Coachella, making the former Disney starlet the youngest performer to ever close the main stage. Such a dominating pop star deserves all of the awards, so it is hardly a surprise that Grande walked away from the 2019's VMAs, Grammys, and Billboard Music Awards with a basket of goodies.

#4: Sophie Turner

Since first emerging as Sansa Stark in 2011, Sophie Turner has grown as an actress and celebrity. Jump forward to 2019, and the 23-year-old actress is earning a Primetime Emmy nomination, headlining a climactic entry in a superhero franchise, and announcing a surprise marriage to a Jonas brother. Now, admittedly, "Game of Thrones'" final season and "X-Men: Dark Phoenix" were both pretty divisive; even still, Turner turned in some solid performances and looked stunning in the process. 2019 closed quite a few chapters in Turner's career, but with that comes many exciting new beginnings away from Westeros.

#3: Margot Robbie

Be it at the box office or on the red carpet, the Australian actress is guaranteed to fill seats. The blonde bombshell tends to juggle Oscar-worthy dramas like "I, Tonya" with inescapable blockbusters suh as "Suicide Squad." In 2019, Margot Robbie re-imagined history as Sharon Tate in Quentin Tarantino's "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" and joined the star-studded cast of Jay Roach's "Bombshell," a film also starring Nicole Kidman and Charlize Theron. Talented, versatile, and fashionable, Margot Robbie is one of those performers who justifies buying a cinema ticket and is easily among Hollywood's most powerful stars.

#2: Zendaya

Appearing in a great "Spider-Man" film would be the highlight of most people's year; but when it comes to Zendaya, MJ was just a footnote. A young actress with a huge social media following, Zendaya spent most of 2019 leaving everyone speechless, be it by appearing in a jaw-dropping dress at the Emmys or utterly shredding any lingering traces of her Disney Channel persona with a harrowing turn on HBO's "Euphoria." Whether starring in one of the year's most lucrative blockbusters or bleakest teen dramas, Zendaya is going to deliver awesomeness.

Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.

Samara Weaving

Camila Cabello

Lady Gaga

Phoebe Waller-Bridge

Lizzo

Rihanna

#1: Jennifer Lopez

>
After more than two decades of superstardom, J.Lo's pedigree is well and truly beyond question. Still, 2019 brought the accomplished celebrity back to the forefront in a big way and across multiple fronts. Appearing in "Hustlers" as a stripper who cons wealthy men, Jennifer Lopez gave arguably one of the strongest performances of her acting career. Not happy with just conquering the film industry, Lopez also embarked on a short but highly lucrative tour that saw the singer and dancer bring the roof down in the United States and across the globe. Whether it is 2000 or 2019, Jennifer Lopez can always be relied upon to steal the show.
