In 2017, larger floral designs seem to be the most on trend. Shorter flowery dresses may look somewhat casual, so for the most formal look, opt for a floor length gown.#4: Mermaid Dresses

Depending on just how flashy you want to get, you can opt for an all-over glitter or more subtle embellishments on certain parts of the dress. If there’s one trend that has completely taken over in prom fashion in the early 21st century, it’s two-piece dresses. If you want to combine multiple trends, it’s totally doable. There are plenty of two-piece dresses that are also floral printed, mermaid style, sparkly or black! You don’t have to bare too much skin to try out this fad, the top and skirt can be either millimeters or inches apart.
