Overkill’s The Walking Dead Is Bringing Co-op To The Walker World

Can It Stand Shoulder To Shoulder With Telltale?

The Walking Dead license has certainly seen its fair share of ups and downs, especially in the form of video games. On the one hand you have Telltale’s episodic, heart-wrenching series that introduced us to the now iconic Lee and Clementine. It was memorable, tense, dripping with atmosphere and in someways managed to even outdo its television counterpart. On the other hand you have The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct, which is just a complete mess.

Now it seems there’s a new contender, one that’s choosing to come at the licence from a whole other angle in the form of co-op gameplay.

According to an article on Gamespot

Another Walking Dead game is on the way, and this one looks pretty good. The first trailer for Overkill’s The Walking Dead has landed, showing off Aidan, one of the game’s multiple protagonists. The game is at least partially set in Washington D.C., though it’s seen better days: zombies have taken over.

Overkill’s The Walking Dead launches in Fall 2018. We still do not know too much about the gameplay, but it was already confirmed that it will support co-op. In terms of the story, it will expand the Walking Dead universe with new characters and storylines.
