Whether it be the main protagonist, an enemy or an ally, there’s every possibility that behind their infectious smile is some kind of hidden strength capable of destroying the world. In that regard, these five stand tall as every bit as powerful as they are cute!
#5: Taokaka
“BlazBlue” series (2008-15)
Here kitty, kitty. While she may be as thick as a brick, this member of the Kaka clan is still quite the deadly fighter, especially when she busts out those giant, metallic claws of hers. Though low on defence, her incredible agility and handy ability to conjure up afterimages of herself has allowed her to clash with the likes of Ragna the Bloodegde and Hakumen on an equal playing field. Best you stay on her good side by paying for her meals.
#4: Cuphead
“Cuphead” (2017)
Along with his buddy Mugman, this homage to the glory days of classic animation is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. His charming aesthetic not only brings back fond memories of 1930s cartoons, but also happens to host a whole assortment of powers, including turning himself into a whirlpool and blasting energy from his fingers. A pretty handy gimmick to have when every other creature in this technicolor dreamland wants to kill him.
#3: Toriel
“Undertale” (2015)
Sans and Papyrus may have won us over with their adorkable tendencies, but none managed to capture our hearts in quite the same fashion as everyone’s favorite Goat Mom. Her maternal nature and adoration for Frisk know no bounds, even if it means using her fire magic to stop them from heading deeper into the underground for their own safety. Turns out even a fluffy bundle of love like Toriel has her limits, just ask Asgore.
#2: Pikachu
“Pokemon” series (1996-)
You could technically pick your Pokemon of choice here, but we had to go with the yellow mouse not only for just how cute it is…but the well-known fact that when provoked it can unleash the thunder of the Gods on enemy trainers. The face of the franchise may seem like the ideal pet, but there’s no denying that its move list could wipe out anyone and anything if it chose to. You’ve seen what happens to Team Rocket when they get hit by a Thunderbolt!

“Kirby” series (1992-)
Those that haven’t experienced the madness that is this pink marshmallow’s franchise might be shocked to know that despite looking like the most cuddly thing to ever exist, Kirby might just be one of the strongest characters in all of video games. He can copy the powers of any opponent, has defeated the creator and destroyer of the universe, he even punched a planet in half! Bottom line; you do not want to mess with Kirby when he is on a squishy warpath.
