Here Comes The K-1 Visa

“90 Day Fiancé”? You know, the TLC show that couples up a U.S. resident with a non-citizen and offers them a K-1 visa, as long as they decide to get married after only 3 months together. Well, over on MsMojo, we took a look at the worst couples to ever appear on “90 Day Fiancé” and its spinoffs. Our list includes Colt & Larissa, Molly & Luis, Chantel & Pedro, David & Annie, Anfisa & Jorge, and more, but as a bonus, here are 5 more couples that had significant issues also worth mentioning!

Larry & Jenny

In the 2017 spinoff “90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days”, Larry traveled overseas to the Philippines to meet Jenny in her home town after they connected online and we quickly realized he was the worst. Jenny’s family spent hours preparing an expensive traditional pork dish called lechon, to which Larry gagged and refused to touch. The worst part was he didn’t even understand what he’d done wrong…As if his job at McDonalds hasn’t exposed him to enough questionable meat???

Matt & Alla

Maybe the word “toxic” is too harsh for this couple, seeing as they’re still married today and seemingly happy, but they definitely had some serious issues worth addressing. Matt and Alla connected on season 4 after having previously met online. Matt had been through three divorces so trust issues were at the forefront, which provoked Matt’s brother and best friend to question Alla’s true intentions, even threatening to object to the wedding. Although she admitted that leaving the Ukraine was a primary driver for her, happiness with Matt was also the goal and clearly, they seem to be doing fine.

Elizabeth & Andrei

Cultural differences were the root of this season 5 couple’s issues, with Elizabeth’s American family clashing with Andrei’s Moldovan background. Andrei typically came off as controlling, demanding to be the head of the household and forcing Elizabeth to make her bachelorette plans comply with his traditional views. Even with these arguments though, the couple got married and are now expecting a baby?!?

Josh & Aika

Although their relationship seemed sincere for the most part, Josh was subject to the constant struggle of pleasing Aika and this task was not always easy. As soon as she arrived from her hometown in the Phillipines, she complained about Josh’s living situation and roommates, the engagement ring he initially gave her and urged him to get a vasectomy reversal. Josh also had flaws of his own that threw viewers off, with his mom even warning Aika about his messy divorce track record. Their shared Instagram account makes it seem like everything worked out though!

Loren & Alexei

After having met on Loren’s Birthright trip to Israel where Alexei was the group’s medic, the couple came back to the U.S. and problems immediately ensued. Their biggest obstacle was Alexei feeling as though he had completely left behind his entire family and friend group, while Loren felt uninvolved in their wedding’s planning process which lead to the huge argument documented below. Nevertheless. they remained together and appeared on the spin-off “90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After”.
