Luke Perry Dies at Age 52: “Riverdale” & “90210” Colleagues Mourn the Loss

Luke Perry, best known for his role on “Beverly Hills, 90210” as Dylan McKay and his more recent portrayal of Fred Andrews on the popular CW and Netflix drama “Riverdale”, has passed away at age 52 after being hospitalized last week as a result of a stroke. This news has been shocking to many and brought with it a huge public response from Perry’s colleagues and fans, sharing their grief in the face of this terrible and unexpected loss. His rep shared the following statement in return:

“He was surrounded by his children Jack and Sophie, fiancé Wendy Madison Bauer, ex-wife Minnie Sharp, mother Ann Bennett, step-father Steve Bennett, brother Tom Perry, sister Amy Coder, and other close family and friends. The family appreciates the outpouring of support and prayers that have been extended to Luke from around the world, and respectfully request privacy in this time of great mourning. No further details will be released at this time.”
