Top 20 Brutal Predator Kills

#20: Itself
Predator (1987)
When you live by the hunt, you die by the code. After a brutal showdown with Dutch in the jungle, the Predator is finally beaten. It survived blades, bullets, and bombs only to be taken down by a giant log counterweight. Bloodied and out of options, it still sticks to its principles. As Peter Keyes explains in the sequel, these creatures will do anything to keep their advanced tech out of human hands. So, with a twisted grin and a familiar chuckle, the hunter activates its wrist gauntlet. The resulting explosion levels the surrounding jungle. The Predator isnt just a movie monster: its a villain who chooses to go out with a bang.
#19: Danny Boy
Predator 2 (1990)
Not all brutality comes from gore; sometimes the deepest cuts are emotional. Danny, played with humor and charm by Ruben Blades, is the heart of "Predator 2." Hes loyal, funny, and the last person you want to see get hurt. Thats exactly why the Predator targets him: to rattle Harrigan, its ultimate prey. The attack happens off-screen, and we never see the body. Danny is dragged into the rafters and vanishes. No last words. Just silence and blood. Then comes the real gut punch: at his funeral, the Predator taunts Harrigan with a chilling trophy - Dannys necklace, left dangling in a tree. Its not just a kill. Its a psychological ambush. The hunter wants to break him before finishing the job.
#18: Jerry Lambert
Predator 2 (1990)
You can always count on Bill Paxton to crack a joke right before things get grim. In "Predator 2," he plays Jerry, the wisecracking young detective who meets his end during one of the films most chaotic set pieces. He and his partner, Leona, do something incredibly rare in LA: take the subway. Unfortunately, the train is filled with both gun-toting gangsters and armed civilians: a proper smorgasbord for an alien hunter. When the creature attacks, Jerry gives it everything hes got, buying time for Leona to evacuate the survivors. The Predator isnt impressed. Off-screen, we hear the screams. Harrigan arrives just in time to witness the hunter tear Jerry's spine from his body.
#17: Head Bite & Soldier Fight
The Predator (2018)
"The Predator" is a deeply flawed sequel, but you can't deny that it goes all in on carnage. Nowhere is that clearer than in the chaotic three-way showdown between the convicts, black ops soldiers, and the 'ultimate Predator.' Bullets fly, bodies fall, and its hard to tell whos hunting who. In the middle of the chaos comes a blink-and-youll-miss-it moment of pure savagery. One poor soldier gets yanked into the trees by the Predator, only to have his head ripped clean off with its mandibles. Its not clean, but it's mercifully quick. Meanwhile, on the ground, this horrific spectacle is witnessed by Sterling K. Browns character. He watches in terrified silence as the monster mean-mugs him with his goon's head in its mouth.
#16: Edwin
Predators (2010)
At first, Edwin seems like the odd man out in Predators. Surrounded by bloodthirsty killers, he's an out-of-place, twitchy, soft-spoken doctor. He doesn't seem to fit well in this band of mercenaries, soldiers of fortune, and death row inmates. But many predators - including the human kind - play the long game. As the body count rises, Edwin reveals his true nature: hes not an innocent scooped up by mistake. He's a methodical, quiet serial killer. Sadly for him, Royce never quite bought his act. As a final trap, Royce rigs Edwin with grenades and leaves him as bait for the Predator. When the creature comes sniffing, it finds a surprise package, and Edwin goes up in flames.
#15: Comanches
Prey (2022)
For many, Dan Trachtenbergs "Prey" was the first truly great "Predator" film in decades. Its easy to see why. The feral Predator lands in 18th-century Comanche territory, surrounded by skilled warriors. Sadly, the small band of hunters who ride out to track it never stood a chance. Armed with grit, bows, and tomahawks, they do what they can against an invisible nightmare. The result is ultimately a one-sided bloodbath. Limbs fly, blood spills, and the forest becomes a killing ground. Its fast, brutal, and deeply unfair. Still, we get a flicker of defiance: Taabe, Narus brother, later holds his own against the green-blooded terror. He fights valiantly, severely wounding it. He buys his sister the time she needs to escape and eventually, strike back.
#14: Cuchillo
Predators (2010)
Cuchillos death is the first real warning that somethings terribly amiss for the deadly group of strangers in "Predators" - other than being trapped on an alien hunting preserve. A cartel enforcer with twin submachine guns and a dont-mess-with-me attitude, he seems built to survive. Unfortunately, the jungle has other plans. After hes separated from the group, the next time we see him, hes already dead. Cuchillos voice echoes through the trees, calling for help. But its not actually him. The Predator has rigged his corpse and is using his voice as bait. Its grisly, its silent, and its brilliant. Thankfully, his fellow captives recognize the trap for what it is and escape.
#13: Billy
Predator (1987)
Billy goes out like a legend... or so it seems. After witnessing the Predator tear through his team like tissue paper, the stoic tracker knows whats coming. He chooses to face it head-on. On a log bridge above a canyon, he drops his gun, draws his blade, and waits for death to meet him. Its one of the films most iconic standoffs. But the next thing we hear isnt a battle cry: its a scream. Billy's last gasp is a raw, blood-curdling shriek that tells us exactly how quickly that fight went south. We never see the kill itself, but the aftermath is even worse: the Predator defiles Billys body and keeps his skull as a trophy.
#12: Grizzly Bear
Prey (2022)
In "Prey," Naru - alone in the wilderness - comes face to face with the last thing you ever want to meet in the wild: an angry grizzly. She barely scrambles to safety. Naru quickly discovers an even greater threat moments later. She bears witness to a battle of titans when the bear squares off with an invisible demon. The two beasts collide in a primal clash of muscle, teeth, and seemingly nothing at all. At first, the bear gets the upper hand - until the Predator kills it with a single punch. Then, in a brutal display of dominance, it hoists the bears lifeless body overhead as blood pours down its shimmering form. Its less of a kill than a literal flex.
#11: Dale
Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (2007)
Dale may have been a high school hothead, but nobody deserves what happens to him. "Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem" isnt a great movie by any stretch (or even a good one), but it delivers some gut-churning gore. During a chaotic standoff inside a sporting goods store, Xenomorphs, humans, and a Predator all collide. Dale makes a break for it but gets tackled and pinned by a Xenomorph. Just when it seems like hes about to be shredded, the Predator kills the alien mid-attack. Unfortunately, its acidic blood sprays across Dales face. He screams as his skin melts away, dying slowly and in agony. Its the kind of death that feels like a cosmic joke: rescued and ruined in the same instant.
#10: Xenomorph
Alien vs. Predator (2004)
Were terrified of the Predator in the mainline series, but when its going up against these snarling creatures, were Team Pred all the way. Bafflingly, the first Alien vs. Predator was rated PG-13, which meant that much of the human carnage had to be tamped down. But thankfully the ratings board had no problem with the aliens shedding a little acid blood. After just missing the opportunity to slice off Sebastians head with a shuriken, the Predator gets redemption when a facehugger lunges at it. But eagle-eyed viewers knew a greater danger lurked just above in the form of a fully grown Xenomorph. Just when it seems itll get the jump on the Predator, he turns the tables with one swift blade.
#9: Blain Cooper
Predator (1987)
With Arnold Schwarzenegger in the lead, we knew the jungle wasnt big enough for two future US state governors, so clearly the pride of Minnesota, Jesse The Body Ventura, had to go. Though, if you asked his character, Blain Cooper, hed probably say he didnt have time. After Rick is the first of the militia to bite it, the others are on high alert. So is Blain, whos ready to blast away the enemy with his submachine gun at the first hint of noise. Only, the threat turns out to be less than intimidating. Unfortunately for Blain, the Predator takes advantage of his newfound sense of calm, blasting a hole through him with a Plasmacaster. Its a cheap shot, but absolutely brutal all the same.
#8: Cartel Members
Predator 2 (1990)
In this first sequel, the city of Los Angeles is subject to violent clashes between the rivaling Jamaican and Colombian drug cartels. But when the Predators in town, you can bet hell win the war. While the Jamaicans are in the middle of brutalizing the rival leader, the Predator arrives to one-up them with a few moves of his own. After letting them exhaust most of their ammo, the Predator takes them out one-by-one, using the likes of his Netgun, Speargun, Combistick, and Wristblades. Seriously, if this were a video game, hed probably get an achievement for his diverse use of weaponry. It isnt long either before the cartel is stamped out for good, as the Predator later takes out King Willie in an alleyway.
#7: Jesse Salinger
Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (2007)
For the most part, we can pretty much tell whos gonna get the ax in Predator movies. This one, however, even caught the Predator by surprise. Embodying the girl-next-door archetype, Jesse wasnt high on our hit list. Sure, her previous taste in men was questionable, but the fact that she and protagonist Ricky began developing a newfound romance seemed to ensure she would make it out alive. Nope. In a last-ditch effort to escape town, the survivors head for the helicopter on the hospital roof. However, the Predator is in a fierce battle with Xenomorphs nearby, and one of his shurikens inadvertently pins Jesse to the wall. As cold as it is, this death is hardly the darkest moment in this bonkers sequel.
#6: Peter Keyes
Predator 2 (1990)
We love us some early-90s Gary Busey, but you dont put him in a Predator movie if youre not gonna kill him off in grisly fashion. The leader of the CIA task force aiming to capture the Predator and harness its technology, the hot-headed Peter Keyes ultimately underestimates his extraterrestrial foe. During a raid on the slaughterhouse the Predators been holing up in, the skilled hunter gets the upper hand on Keyess team, taking care of them in quick succession. Despite clashing with LAPD Lieutenant Mike Harrigan throughout the film, Keyes actually manages to save him before meeting a horrific end himself. The Predator bisects him with a Smart Disc, making us cringe and wonder what happened to his top half at the same time.
#5: Classic Predator
Predators (2010)
Thats right: not even Predators are exempt from the ruthlessness of Predators. In this thrilling sequel, the action is taken off-world to a distant planet that serves as the creatures hunting preserve. This of course means theres multiple kinds of Predators, and not all of them are friendly with each other. After coming across a captive Predator that resembles the first movies antagonist, protagonist Royce doubles back later on to free him, hoping itll assist them in the fight against the others. Hes right, but even the Classic Predator is no match for the Berserker. Their fight is legendary, but it isnt long before the Berserker gets the upper hand. After unmasking themselves, the Berserker decapitates the Classic version in a brutal display of dominance.
#4: Al Dillon
Predator (1987)
If theres one character from the original Predator we naively wished would make it, it was Carl Weatherss Dillon. But when we learned the mission hes leading isnt what it appears to be, we knew it was only a matter of time before his number was up. After the Predator eliminates Sergeant Mac Eliot, Dillon is left to fend for himself without the rest of his team. Upon coming across Macs body, Dillon realizes its already too late. Making out the cloaked Predator in the trees, Dillon doesn't have time to react before his arm is blown clean off. Not even permitted a quick death, Dillon has to wait helplessly as the jungle hunter makes his way down and finishes him off.
#3: Trappers
Prey (2022)
Set over three-hundred years ago, Prey follows a Comanche warrior named Naru as she goes up against ostensibly the first Predator on Earth. About halfway through, a group of French trappers try to use her and her brother Taabe as bait for the Predator, only to realize they had it backwards. The Predators weapons are slightly more rudimentary this time around, but he even manages to get by with some of theirs, taking the trappers out with simple bear traps and deflected gunfire. Still, its clear some of the Predators favorite tactics go way back, as he finishes the rest off with a good, old-fashioned self-destruct device. Of course, the trappers hardly know what it is, and barely do anything to avoid it.
#2: Lab Assistants
The Predator (2018)
In a fun bit of meta casting, Jake Busey enters the franchise to play the son of the Gary Busey character from Predator 2. His scientist character fares much better than the elder Keyes - the rest of the lab assistants, not so much. After trying to study a Predator thats inexplicably got human DNA, the lab workers get a rude awakening when the big guy wakes up and breaks free of his restraints. In a savage display of violence, the Predator mows down everyone and anyone in his way. While the film as a whole didnt quite live up to expectations, its scenes like this that show how beast mode Predators can really go.
#1: Stans
Predators (2010)
Seeing as the protagonists of this third installment are Earths deadliest killers, you gotta know many characters would be downright despicable. None are more despicable than Stans, however, an admitted murderer and death row inmate. As much as Walton Gogginss performance made him somewhat amusing, we still could not wait for Stanss comeuppance, only even we were shocked by the brutality of it. Stans is seemingly killed by the Berserkers Plasmacaster, but his chest plate allows him to bounce back and give the others time to escape. Making sure no good deed goes unpunished, the Berserker makes absolutely sure Stans wont be getting back up, yanking out his spine with his bare hand. Yikes. We could not think of a worse way to go.
